In February 2020 our staff member Luke and his wife Kate welcomed their first-born child into the world, Jasper. To commemorate this special occasion we have named our first Killara Distillery release in honour of his birth. Colour: Deep mahogany. Nose: Butter, toffee, spice, vanilla bean. Raisin and buttery richness linger in the background of rich leather underpinned by sweetness. Typical sherry cask with a great presence. Palate: Mouth feel is rich reminiscent of old sherry casks, tobacco, chocolate, and soft spices. Sweet caramel aromas lead to a late finish of oak tannins, spices, and structured sweetness.Lingering caramel and port sweetness. Finish: Rich and rounded.
