13.01.2022 Im surprised Ive not been asked about this one before now - one of our local snowboarding enthusiasts is heading up to Mt Field NP and asked about printing a 1:25k map of the area and we were able to oblige! The Tasmap 1:25k series are all available digitally, so if you want a map like this, just bring the ones in that you want and we can print them out for you.

04.01.2022 What a difference a week makes! These snaps were taken just over a week ago on a trip up to Cradle Mountain. Theres some amazing scenery in our own backyard.

03.01.2022 OVERLAND TRACK HUTS NOW OPEN The new simple, energy efficient Waterfall Valley hut on the Overland Track is now open for bushwalkers to rest overnight. All othe...r PWS managed huts within the Cradle-Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and Frenchmans Cap have also reopened after they were closed as part of the COVID-19 response. To meet physical distancing requirements the number of people allowed in each hut is limited. So if you are enjoying a multi-day walk, you must carry a quality tent (3-4 season rating with inner and outer layer), and be prepared to camp. Each hut has signage advising how many people are permitted and cleaning supplies to allow walkers to self-manage the cleaning of surfaces. As a COVID-19 safety measure to manage the number of people departing each day, PWS has introduced a free registration system for access to Scott Kilvert, Pine Valley, Pelion via Arm River Frenchmans Cap and the Overland Track during the winter walking season.
