22.01.2022 2018 TMCC AGM The TMCCs 2018 AGM is Thursday 10th May 7pm at the Jailhouse Grill in Wellington Street Launceston. The AGM and monthly meeting have been pushed back a week to avoid clashing with Agfest. It is important that as many members as possible attend the meeting as all office bearers will be elected and decisions made affecting the rules and regulations around racing at club level. Its no good whinging that you didnt agree with some decision that the committee made ...if you werent there to argue your case and vote. A club is only as strong as its members, so come along and ensure the clubs future. Be there to cast your vote for the committee you want to run the club for the next 12 months.

10.01.2022 Please note the following works being done at Symmons Plains. 1. The toilets under the tower are being freshened up and will be locked as the works are not complete. The central pit toilets will be open as well as the corporate room toilets. It means that anyone wishing to camp at the track wont have access to a shower. 2. The corporate room, kitchen and toilets upstairs have just been painted. We ask that riders and spectators using this upstairs facility do not sit on ...the window sills. There are plenty of available chairs. 3. There will be no spectator access to the hill above the main straight due to earthworks.

08.01.2022 28th of JUNE RIDE DAY UPDATE. For those that have seen the Premiers announcement around the easing of restrictions and were wondering how that might impact the Ride Day. Unfortunately its not as simple as just the state government restrictions, there are also issues around permits and insurance. Also due to TMCC not owning our own track as a lot of the dirt clubs do. ... We are monitoring the situation and will advise if there is any change, but at this stage the Ride Day on the 28th of June WILL NOT be going ahead.

06.01.2022 Dear TMCC Member Over the last week your committee has been closely following the unfolding events surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic. We have also been keenly observing the recommendations and best advice around social distancing and the guidelines around the conduct of non-essential meetings and gatherings. While it may be technically possible to run a meeting and be just inside the current requirements, would this be a sensible or responsible thing to do? Primarily from a h...ealth and safety perspective but also considering the fiscal perspective of running a meeting if no one were to choose to attend. From the rapidity of change over the last week a decision made today would in all likelihood be outdated tomorrow. The restrictions and guidelines are only heading in one direction, that being more restrictive, on Sunday the 22nd of March the Prime Minister stated that the government is expecting this pandemic to last, at the very least, six months. As such, committee announces with regret and a deep sense of disappointment, that the TMCC will immediately suspend ride day and race meetings until further notice. We appreciate this is a difficult decision but we genuinely have the best interests of our riders, racers, volunteers and the community, at the forefront of our minds in taking this action. As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds over the coming months the committee will continue to follow the situation and will reassess month by month when an appropriate time to recommence meetings has arrived. Sincerely Cary McMahon On behalf of the Committee

03.01.2022 A notice to all motor sport Clubs, Competitors and Promotors, Just a reminder that MST have a total ban on coloured tyres at both Symmons Plains and Baskerville... Raceways. As it has been brought to our attention again that there has been a large quantity of coloured tyres that have been sold in Tasmania over the past few months primarily for the use of doing burnouts and power slides and are being used illegally on some suburb streets. There are concerns not only for the damage and unsightly mess they leave, but also for safety concerns of our two-wheel motorcycling competitors that also use our circuits, as they also leave a dangerous slippery surface. Due to these concerns Motorsports Tasmania, has issued a blanket ban of these type of tyres to be used at either Symmons Plains or Baskerville Raceways. We thank all our users for respecting the properties and for the safety of all that use them. Regards, Donald Potter General Manager Motorsports Tasmania
