23.01.2022 Earlier this year we made the decision that we would have sand flags on our vehicles when driving on beaches (and inland tracks leading to beaches) here in Tassie. This was prompted by a tragic event in the Arthur Pieman Conservation Area. There was another incident yesterday at Double Sandy Point and although we have no details on this incident including how it occured, it prompted us to make this post. We understand that the number of people that come along on our 4wd Taga...long Tours represents only a small number of 4wds that use these beaches and tracks. By posting this and promoting the use of sand flags we hope to set an example. We implore all 4wdrivers, both local and interstate, that use these beaches and tracks to do the same - purchase a sand flag and install on your vehicle. Sand flags can be purchased at 4wd shops such as ARB and TJM as well as Anaconda, Supercheap Auto, Autobarn, BCF and a heap of online shops. Prices start as low as $50 and even the more expensive brands are only a little over $100. We all love buying and fitting accessories to our 4wd's, so buy another one and maybe you might save a life.

19.01.2022 We were very surprised and honoured to receive a Community Kindness Award from Keep Australia Beautiful - Tasmania. This was in recognition of the cleanup that we carried out at the Bellingham to Bridport 4wd traverse a few months ago. As nice as it is to receive this award, if we all keep the tracks and campsites clean there is no need for a cleanup!

16.01.2022 After our post yesterday about sand flags we’ve received quite a few messages. We recommend going to one of the many great 4wd retailers we have here in Tassie, but if you’re on a budget, here’s a couple of alternatives.

08.01.2022 One of our favourite tracks in Tassie. Looking forward to this seasons tours! This coming season we are running ‘Adventurer’ and ‘Explorer’ tours concurrently. Adventurers tackle the same awesome tracks that we have always done and Explorers do most tracks but we add in some more sight seeing type experiences. This is designed for less adventurous travellers or less modified 4wd’s. We then all meet up at the end of day at camp.
