As the beautiful Tassie summer deepens, so ripens local fruit, ready to be pickled and bottled up in small batches in our kitchens. Today in the factory: we're loving these colourful Kentish Cherries, freshly picked from the slopes of Mount Wellington, by local growers Wolfe's Berry Farm . 11.01.2022 Wasabi cherries, mostardas, pickled cherries... We know you've missed them, and so we are glad to be the bearers of good news... They're back! We repeat, Tasman's Harvest black cherry products are back for 2020. The Kentish cherries are now on the shelf, and so it's time for us to process the black cherries. Some we are pickling ready for wasabi cherries, sweet and spiced cherries, and other beautiful cherry products. Others are being turned into mostarda: a beautiful cherry-...based chutney with a hint of Tasman's Harvest mustard and black pepper. We've been busy, busy, busy in the factory! We like to source seasonal local produce for our high-quality condiments, and so at this time of year, while fruit is ripe and ripening, we are flat chat working with local growers to craft our unique Tasmanian products. Sometimes you'll find that certain products become unavailable and we are unable to re-stock until the next season comes around, but this can be an unavoidable part of sourcing and utilising the freshest ingredients for our products. It brings us much joy to work with other Tasmanians to showcase the bounties that Tasmania has to offer. #Tasmansharvest
