17.01.2022 #ReproductiveChoice Did you know that the choice of contraceptive options for women in Australia has increased? When it comes to longer-acting, but reversible contraception, Australia now has Implanon, Mirena and now also KYLEENA (https://www.kyleena-us.com). These three options are all called LARCs (long acting reversible contraception). ... The benefits of a LARC include: - Highest efficacy in preventing unplanned/unintended pregnancies. - Once in, the do not require frequent visits for resupply (a particular advantage for women in rural areas). - They require no ongoing costs and are highly cost-effective. - They are reversible, with the women rapidly returning to fertility after removal. Your GP or one of our TasOGS Womens Heath GP (https://www.tasogs.com/#team) can give you more information about these or other great contraceptive options.
