13.01.2022 Hi Gang, Marty here forwarding on a note from Clare while she is on sabbatical: Dear Sweethearts, I have something new and exciting to share.... Today, my brand new five-part audiobook is coming out through Audible. Its called Tame Your Inner Critic, and although its been nine months in the making, its especially useful for a moment like this: a moment of intense uncertainly and anxiety and disruption, times when our worry voice or inner critic can get very loud indeed. It is created to pass on the skills that help me keep my ship steady regardless of the weather. I took the lessons hidden in Your Own Kind of Girl, and turned them into a step-by-step. Neuroscientist friend Dr Charlotte Keating and voice artist Jay Mueller join me for the ride. Its produced by Marty with an original soundtrack to boot. Normally with a work of this magnitude I would be out in the world promoting the pants off it. I am so incredibly proud of what Marty and I and our friends have created. We really put our hearts into it. It is original and new and perhaps the most practical work Ive ever produced. In a normal world, I would make sure every single big-heart who needs this work right now, knew about it. But IRL, I am in lockdown in Melbourne helping care for my glorious mother, who we brought home from palliative care eighteen days ago when hospitals were forced to ban visitations due to Covid 19. Precious time. So - if its okay, Im going to rely on you guys a little bit to help get the word out. You can have a listen here http://audible.com.au/critic Its free for Audible members (and for newbies with the free 30-day trial). If you like it, and you find it worth the listen, please write me a review, and share it with your brilliant friends - the ones who suffer from the worst self doubt, from anxiety, and the ones feeling especially wobbly about all the things they cant control. It is for teenagers and adults, and Im hoping this five-part audiobook will set them straight and give them hope and skills to get though these times. Lots of love to you and your people, and thank you, CB xo @Audible_AU @AudibleAustralia Tame Your Inner Critic will be available for download from Tuesday 11 August via http://audible.com.au/critic
