24.01.2022 Hello everyone! You may have noticed our Minecraft Server has gone down. due to lack of player base and finances (Taspop doesn't pay for the server, MJiggalo and I do), we have decided to temporarily shut down the server. Now, in saying this we do have a backup, so not to worry! If we ever bring this server back, we have it on hand! Now, we are thinking of starting up a different type of server, a Pixelmon Server!!! basically, Pixelmon has more range and opportunities for eve...nts, competitions and more, where the vanilla server really didn't. This server will be a 1.12 server, as that is what the mod is currently updated to. Now, we haven't made this server yet, because we firstly want your opinion! We have a strawpoll set up, and you can vote whether or not a Pixelmon server is interesting enough for you! 21.01.2022 Hello! Its feature time!! Today, we have Bright, a 19 year old from Launceston. They are an autistic lesbian and they taught themself how to sew on my own without help last year. Their favourite cosplay is Leone Abbacchio but they are really proud of all their jojo cosplays. JoJos bizarre adventure has really helped them step up their costume and makeup game and has made them want to cosplay a hell of a lot more than they used too! 19.01.2022 Hello everyone! Last week I took a break to look after myself, self care is important! I hope you are all well and looking after yourselves as well. Now, lets get on with this weeks feature! Today, we have Recon! They are 22 years old and from north west Tasmania. They've loved cosplay since they were teenager and started cosplaying as a hobby and practicing makeup when they started using TikTok on halloween 2018. Their favourite kind of cosplays are non human characters beca...use there is lots of room for creative interpretation in giving them a humanized design. 17.01.2022 Has being at home got you down? Do you miss going to conventions and making cosplays? Well, guess what?! Taspop will be running a closet cosplay competition during the rest of this month. Because we all need to be mindful of social distancing but we also want to look awesome and embrace the fandoms and characters we love, why not enter? The rules are simple: using only the things you have at home, create a cosplay based on a character and send it to us at [email protected]. Any accessories are welcome: wigs, makeup, props and contact lenses. When ready to send us that email with your great looking cosplay photos, please remember to include a reference photos as well and put down the character name and series, as well as your preferred name and contact details. See you all there for our inaugural closet cosplay competition! Here are the more detailed rules! - Only allowed to use items in the house, participants cannot go out and buy things - No theme - Reference photos need to be included in entry as well as the following: character name, series, name of cosplayer with contact details - Entries must be sent via email Categories are as follows! - Thrown together: something from your actual closet! all you need is some clothes you have that fit the character as you see fit! -Handmade: using items you already own, such as fabrics or other handmade items that have been bought previously! -Pre Bought: A cosplay you have bought for other events, or just for yourself! 15.01.2022 hello everyone. I have come to announce that the Minecraft Server Client we are using (MCProhosting) has been hacked/ddosed. The server is still running, however we cannot access the client to do admin stuff, and if the server goes down there is nothing we can do about it until the client is restored, so long as nothing is deleted. Mjiggalo and I wanted to let you all know about this, just incase the server does indeed go down during this time. We will update you as this pro...gresses, and once we have access to the client we will fully back up the world. 12.01.2022 Hello everyone! This most likely will not come as a surprise to anyone, but we will not be hosting Taspop South and Taspop North this year. Despite the lack of COVID-19 cases, we want to be as safe as possible, and we know that both events attract a lot of people, and we cannot risk the potential spread of COVID-19.... We understand everyone will be disappointed, but after sitting on it for a couple of months, we figured it's best if we hold the event's off until further notice. However, we do plan to have smaller events up and running, once we are able! We will be making absolutely sure that once these events come back that there will be proper social distancing, hand sanitizer and other measures in place to keep you all safe and healthy!
