16.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL TASMANIAN RIDING PONY MEMBERS: Our state riding pony show which was to be held at Longford next weekend, 11th January, has had to be postponed. Your committee have not made this decision lightly. In the interests of horse welfare and the status of the Longford ground at present we feel it is the interests of all competitors and members to postpone to another date. ... All other venue options in the northern end of the state have been exhausted. We have low entries and we believe the current conditions are impacting on the participation level. We have taken into account the current weather conditions over the next 2 weeks and the potential fire risk as it stands now. The show will now go ahead on the 14th March at a northern venue to be advised. Members who entered will be contacted via email to arrange refunds.Any member who entered as a newcomer will maintain that status for our new date. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope the members support the decision as we feel it is in the best interests of all concerned. MEASURING which was to be conducted with this show will now go ahead at the Launceston Grounds.
