25.01.2022 Fantastic food, now we all enjoy that.We are looking forward to Launching the Tassie Scallop Fiesta with Matt of the Bridport Cafe and his delicious Tapas. Lets Party. Lets Launch the Fiesta 19th August. Yes you get the tickets online only this year at https://events.humanitix.com/tassie-scallop-fiesta But we saved the best part till last....You can win a trip to Flinders Island with Flinders Island Aviation. 23.01.2022 The competition was hot for pies Competition was hot and close in the quest to find the best Tassie scallop pie. Less than half a point separated the top two pies in the scallop mornay section, coincidentally fought out between bakeries from the North Wests Olivers stable. Last years winning baker Shaun McCarthy took the prize again though hes moved from the East Coast to Ulverstone in the interim. ... Ulverstones Olivers Bakery won from Latrobe Olivers Bakery Cafe and regular podium finisher Jubilee Bakery from Beaconsfield. The curried pie category was more clear cut with Paul Arnisons entry from the Bridport Cafe a stand-out winner. Flinders Island Bakery also finished in the placings for the third year as runner up and a new entrant Rustic Corner North, of Scottsdale, was third. And a big thanks to the generous sponsors of what is one of Australias richer baking competitions ... Tasmanian Hotel and Catering Supplies and Tas Flour Mills. See more
