15.01.2022 A message from Hockey Tasmania Chief Executive Officer Damian Smith updating all members around the state on the challenges facing us due to COVID-19 and the up...coming changes due to easing of restrictions in Tasmania starting next week. The short member survey can still be completed here: https://forms.gle/iRJfhWSBuh6T2t4K8 until 5pm this Friday. Guidelines covering off on the new restrictions from Monday May 18 are being worked on now and will be shared with all clubs and members after Community Sport and Recreation pass down the government guidelines. We loved having them play for us in 2019 and hope to see them in Tigers shirts in 2021, but for now it's great to see them on the pitch and enjoying hockey!

04.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS! Kookaburras legend and 2019 Tigers women's coach Luke Doerner has been appointed as the inaugural Tigers Academy Head Coach. With this key appointment in place the Academy can start to build up its programs, which includes junior and senior development squads and additional coaches around the state.... 02.01.2022 Hockey Tasmania is aware of several emails sent from one of our email addresses - [email protected] - very early in the morning today that contained a... malicious link and false information telling recipients they had won $750 worth of free hockey gear or a donation from Apple. These were spam emails that were not sent from the Hockey Tasmania organisation and anyone who received these emails, or any email from the [email protected] address dated Monday 22 June 2020, should delete them without opening them or clicking on any links contained within. Our third-party email marketing provider was breached and that service was used to send the spam emails via our [email protected] address. The issue itself is now over but we're still in the process of taking remedial action with our IT service provider. The breach was outside of the Hockey Tasmania network and the Hockey Tasmania network was not the subject of the breach. The breach has been lodged with the Australian Cyber Security Centre. If our IT service provider ascertains any issues with any individuals we will notify them directly. As of this moment we suggest everyone review their own personal cyber security measures and if anyone did happen to click the links within these emails to be wary of any suspicious activity on their devices and to run anti-viral or anti-malicious software tools on their devices.
