24.01.2022 BIGGEST TTF TEASER YET!! HOBART TRAIL RUNNERS THE TALK IS REAL! 100 MILE (160KM)... Yes we are proposing a 100mile run for 2021. This past week I was running around the Gorge and the original 30km loop is now a 40km, with some real lovely spots added. So quick figures on the loop 40km with just under 1500m of vertical gain, one course aid station (ran by the best crew in the business I believe) also with 5 toilet options and several water options making this a semi self supported run perfect for those moving into unsupported FKTs. The loop will possibly have water crossings I had 3 in the first 7km so winter this will be a giving, single track and lots of it, a little bit of road not much, stairs, epic views and did I mention single track! At the race hub you'll have options for crew area, drop bags and a runners hub so you can contemplate all your bad decisions with a aid station for the 100mile and 100km runners only. With a 6am start you'll be doing the first hour or so in the dark and with the slightly bigger loop I believe most will be doing 2 night/2 day loops so mentally that will be a lot better. So bling we are looking at a silver belt buckle for 24 hours and under and a bronze for any finisher before the 36 and a half cut off. A buckle dinner presentation on the Sunday arvo for all finishers more details at a later date on that. For all further updates on this distance and subscriber specials please head to our website and join our mailing list you'll see the little email option. We will be happy to answer any questions you may also have. We are excited about this race and we hope you guys are as well

19.01.2022 What an amazing morning I had with Geoff from Wallaby walkabout tours. Well and truly worth it I had a ball and I have to agree he knows the best view of the basin. We even worked out a loop up there to give the runners this experience We also sat down and did a ochre painting and a wreath that we put into the basin for the spirits. ... He's also kindly agreed to do our welcome to country on the Friday night at race briefing for our Saturday runners. He's also happy to give runners a tour during the event if you get a chance his link is below for bookings and will be on our website as well very soon. https://launcestonwalkingtours.com.au/

01.01.2022 Very interesting question and one that doesn't have a one size fits all answer. I know for myself running events like Blackall 100km in Queensland in 30+ degrees and tropical humidity I use a homemade drink with salt in it. 3 1/2 cups cold water 1/4 cup orange juice... 1/4 cup pure maple syrup 2 tablespoons lime juice 1/4 teaspoon salt See more

01.01.2022 Merch prototype.... the first TTF sweat towel in the making
