Thanks to the efforts of wildlife researchers, biologists and zoos across the world, wild populations have grown. Today 1/3 of all wild GLTs started from individuals in zoos. Do you have an interest in helping rebuild the Tassie tourism industry, just in time for peak season when intrastate tourism increases? This position will be primarily interacting with visitors in our shop/kiosk/office, this is not an animal based role. This traineeship would suit a school leaver (but not essential) looking for a great way to enter the tourism industry. Please bring your resume into the zoo office any day between 10am-4pm. 10.01.2022 We have been overwhelmed with the amount of support from our local community, thank you to everyone that has visited and your patience whilst we were adjusting to COVID restrictions and the busiest days the zoo has experienced since opening in 2003. Sorry to those who missed out on purchasing something from our shop, it will be stocked shortly.
