24.01.2022 Did you know the differences between an OPEN system Colonic vs CLOSED system Colonic??? The majority of the public are unaware that there is a difference in the way that colonics are administered. The fact of the matter is that this difference can substantially affect the outcome of your colonic. OPEN SYSTEM... A Person explains the system and will advise how to do your own insertion. The person advising you is not required to have a certificate in Australia. The open system is a table with an opening at the end in which wastes are released (shute). The Machine set to 45 minutes, after you have done your own insertion you are left on your own.Various instructions may be offered. I.e. To hold for count of 20 and release, or just hold and let go. An open system may not keep the colon filled with water during the entire session which does not keep the fecal matter soaking. The client releases (actively pushes) down the shute, there can be noise and an odour. There is also a viewing tube, however you will have no idea what you are releasing and what the state of your colon is in. Some people may be feel exhausted after the session due to actively pushing. The tube may also come out during the release due to the pushing, then must be inserted again. CLOSED SYSTEM A qualified therapist explains the procedure and does the insertion. The client is clothed from the waist up and is covered by a towel from the waist down so your modesty is not left at the door. The process that takes about 30-45 minutes during which filtered water is gently introduced into the colon whilst a therapist uses special massage techniques to stimulate the release of stored matter and stimulates peristalsis (muscular contraction of the colon. Its like taking your colon to the gym!). The client does not actively push to release the machine allows the steady outflow. At Taste 4 Health, a closed system is used so there are no unpleasant odours or exposed bacterial waste. The waste goes into the tube, through to the viewing tube where you are able to see the waste product, then into the sewerage pipes. The viewing tube allows the therapist to evaluate the faeces and can identify dehydration, unchewed food, undigested food (which can cause leaky gut), Candida, parasites, mucous and inflammation. Recommendations can to you after the treatment is completed. During the whole process, the therapist is educating the client on dietary and lifestyle factors, the correlation between the digestive system and the nervous system and improving general well being. A digestive questionnaire may also be provided to identify where in your digestive pathway issues are arising, allowing our practitioner to target the issue. Here at Taste 4 Health, we only recommend the closed system as it is the safest and most effective way to cleanse the bowel. Contrary to popular opinion, the body hangs on to body fat. Instead, it burns muscle tissue, and that worsens the underlying cause of obesity. Only as a last resort, if the body has no other option, it may also burn a bit of body fat. Why does the body hang on to body fat and burn muscle? To answer that question, l...ets look at it another way. What does our metabolism want more of when it thinks we are starving? Stored energy. What is a great source of stored energy? Body fat. So when our metabolism thinks we are starving, does it want to get rid of or hold on to body fat? It wants to hold on. Next, what does our metabolism want less of when we are starving? It wants less tissue (which burns a lot of calories). What type of tissue burns a lot of calories? Muscle tissue. So when our metabolism thinks we are starving, it gets rid of calorie-hungry muscle tissue. Studies show that up to 70% of the weight lost while eating less comes from burning musclenot body fat! Burning all this muscle means that starving ourselves leads to more body fatnot lessover the long term. As soon as we stop starving ourselves, we have all the calories we used to have but need less of them, thanks to all that missing muscle and our slowed-down metabolism. Now our metabolism sees eating a normal amount as overeating and creates new body fat. In the Journal of the American Medical Association, researcher G.L. Thorpe tells us that eating less does not make us lose weight, by selective reduction of adipose deposits [body fat], but by wasting of all body tissuestherefore, any success obtained must be maintained by chronic under-nourishment. It is not practical or healthy to keep ourselves chronically under-nourished, so we dont. Instead, we yo-yo diet. And that is why eating less is not an effective long-term fat loss approach. Starvation does not make us thin. It makes us stocky, sick, and sad. Its bad for health and its bad for fat loss. Your body just doesnt work that way. Eating less does not cause fat loss.
