25.01.2022 Hayden Quinn continued his Sapphire Coast seafood adventures with a trip out on the waters of Twofold Bay in Eden with Dan from Eden Mussels - Business Page Dan and his team farm their beautiful, sustainably-grown Australian mussels from this epic harbour - reputedly the third deepest natural harbour in the Southern Hemisphere! It was amazing to pull up the ropes and see how their award-winning mussels are grown! If you're in the area, then drop into the harbour at Eden... and you can buy their mussels right off the boat! Well worth it! 24.01.2022 With their ingredients in hand, Hayden Quinn and Amina Elshafei - Masterchef Australia Season 4 met up at the beautiful Bicentennial Park in Western Sydney to find a place to cook! (Hayden managed to sneak in a quick bike ride through the park first ) Amina showed Hayden an epic fire-grilled Korean recipe which was the perfect way to end a day exploring the food scene and more of this awesome part of Visit NSW. 22.01.2022 Randall Organic Rice is one of the great Riverina farms that are fed by the Murrumbidgee River. Hayden Quinn stopped in to see Pete Randall in action milling rice, and to learn more about his award winning farm Randall Organic. With recent drought conditions, they have actually had no rice crop this last summer (2019-2020) and have adapted their farm and systems to start processing oats - which Pete also grows. They also make awesome rice cakes, which we got to try! 18.01.2022 Husk Distillers on the Tweed was an absolute must-do for Hayden Quinn! Husk produces Australia's only virgin cane rum ... made with cane from their own paddocks, into their amazing distillery, and then bottled right on site! Hayden got the grand tour from Harriet (the famous "Ink Gin Girl"!) and got to taste Husk's beautiful creations at various stages in the process. Husk has a picture-perfect location, with the Tweed River out front and sugar cane fields out back ... so good for any occasion (they have awesome food too). We will be back for sure! 16.01.2022 As you probably know, Hayden Quinn is a sucker for oysters, and with some of the best oysters in Australia grown on the Sapphire Coast, we had to find some to try! We were fortunate to be able to hang out with John from Mimosa Rock Oysters who took us out on the stunning Wapengo Lake where John shucked oysters for Hayden straight off his lease.
