25.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder regarding bringing dogs to the Taste. We love pooches as much as most people do, but this is predominantly a food and entertainment festival and we must adhere to strict guidelines which prohibit us allowing dogs into the event. The Ranelagh Recreation Grounds is also predominantly a dog-free zone, so furthermore we must not allow dogs on the grounds. We hope you understand and its nothing personal against your beloved fur babies. ... The Taste Team
23.01.2022 ONE DAY TO GO! With A Taste of the Huon nearly finally here, please see a list of all stallholders below. There will be close to 100 stalls this year, with the exciting addition of some amazing new ones.... In addition, Project X - A DarkLab Project featuring a forty-foot shipping container with a vast landscape in miniature: a desolate, mythical English town in the aftermath of a riot, where only police and media crews remain will feature on the grounds to bring some art to the Huon Valley. For more information regarding ATOH, please check out our website - atasteofthehuon.com.au.
23.01.2022 If you are anything like us, the thought of having these middle eastern nachos for lunch today beats whatever it is we're making for ourselves. This yummy plate is from Harissa Hobart and we're excited to check out their stand on Sunday / Monday.
22.01.2022 DAY TWO... another incredible day at A Taste of the Huon for 2020! A huge thank you to all the stallholders who were a part of this years event and continue to make this festival the huge success it is year after year. And to all of you who come along to support the Huon Valley and Channel regions - we certainly appreciate it and it means the world to us to be able to showcase our fresh produce, food, beverages, arts and crafts to you all.... Here are a few more pics from the past two days.
21.01.2022 A huge congratulations to the winner of 'Best Stall 2020', Rösti Chalet. Stalls are judged on presentation, product knowledge and where its sourced from, staff knowledge, and the food itself. Congratulations to David and his wonderful team.

We always have plenty of chairs surrounding the stage, but feel free to bring your own fold-out chairs and picnic rugs and get yourselves all comfy for a day of food, beverages and entertainment.
15.01.2022 DAY ONE... What an incredible first day of A Taste of the Huon, with crowds of people turning up to enjoy the array of entertainment and stalls. Here are some snaps from day one.... 15.01.2022 Did you notice how clean and free of rubbish the grounds were over the two days of the Taste? Please help us thank the wonderful volunteers who worked very hard to keep the rubbish at bay including Huonville Scouts, Huonville High School, Cygnet Bowls Club and Huonville Men's Shed.

13.01.2022 One of the best things about the Taste is that it's not only a chance to showcase the best fresh produce the Huon Valley has to offer, but also the incredible talent that lies in our part of the world. Phoenix Creations (Artist-David Rauenbusch) from Cygnet, uses ethically sourced green and vintage timbers to make their Soulspoons and giant spoons - and how beautiful are they! You can watch David doing live demonstrations at their stand tomorrow and Monday and pick up a spoon of your choice.
13.01.2022 Lil’ Lizzies Kitchen was formed by Janine who fondly named her business after her grandmother Elizabeth. She was her 'mini me' and in her ten years of operating, has won several awards including gold, silver and bronze at the Tasmanian Fine Food Awards. With homemade jams, chutney, relish, cakes and biscuits, Janine likes to recreate tastes like a grandmas kitchen would with good, old-fashioned flavours. You can visit her stall and stock up on all her goodies at the Taste this weekend.
10.01.2022 Live on the main stage right now at the Taste... Wilbur Wilde & Frankie J Holden.
08.01.2022 Wilbur Wilde & Frankie J Holden will grace the stage at this years Taste! Woo hoo! These guys will be on the main stage from 1.00pm on Monday 9th March. 08.01.2022 Now that we've had time to catch our breath (and rest our legs) we wanted to acknowledge the incredible hard work of the A Taste of the Huon Committee Members who tirelessly volunteer their time each year to pull this festival off. Pictured here are just some of the Committee members we could rustle up over the two days, including Sam (Groundsman) and Gareth (Festival Coordinator), Esther, Rosemary (President), Karen, Elaine (Secretary), Mark (Vice President) and Terry. Missing here are Louise, John, Nyal and Belinda. Thank you all for making this great event for the Huon Valley, the success it is each year!

08.01.2022 Whilst you’re down at the Taste today, make sure you check out the arts and craft stalls and stock up. It’s such a wonderful way to support local small businesses. We particularly love these handmade soaps from Bar Nekkid Soap - they not only smell divine but are made from natural ingredients meaning a huge tick from us! #supportlocal
06.01.2022 A Taste of the Huon would not be possible without our extremely generous sponsors, many of whom have been supporting the event year after year. With some of the finest ingredients, and Australia’s only RSPCA approved salmon, you’ll be able to taste why not all salmon is Huon. And once you’ve fallen in love, you’ll be able to purchase a tasting bag filled with product to take home and a few extra goodies.... #HuonSalmon
03.01.2022 For the first time in years, we're thrilled to have Masaaki and his famous sushi at this years event. And to make things even more mouth watering, he will be making crayfish miso soup in a bid to proudly support the local crayfish industry who are doing it a bit tough at the moment. We look forward to seeing you there Masaaki!
