24.01.2022 The endemic and threatened native conifers on the Overland Track can live a 1000 years but the ancient tree rarely bears seed cones. In the midst of a global pandemic, this rare event occurred. Botanist James Wood and Tas Walking Co guide Justin Dyer set out on an expedition to map and collect 8000 seeds that will be stored in the Tas Seed Conservation Centre. https://www.twcfoundation.com.au/projects/seed-conservation/

06.01.2022 It's #ThrowbackThursday and we are remembering the fantastic Kangaroo Island locals who helped us construct and distribute 400 wildlife water and food feeders across the bushfire affected areas. The initiative provided surviving wildlife with access to food and water sources. The RSPCA South Australia joined the initiative in March 2020 furthering the reach of our feeders inside the national parks.
