05.01.2022 Many of you will know Mr Rowe as one of our outstanding English teachers here at Tatachilla. But did you know he is now a published author? Life as Fiction is a reading companion for Atonement by Ian McEwan, and a book that he dedicates not only to his family, but to all the students hes taught over the years. ABOUT Atonement is one of those texts that should really be read twice and to reflect that, I've produced a reading companion which points you in the right directi...ons for your first reading, followed by a hugely comprehensive body of writing to accompany you as you read it a second time for deeper meaning. This reading companion is ideally intended for students who would like to have a more informal way into the text although in truth anyone is welcome to read it. It started for me as a little guide for my own students that I began writing and it quickly got out of hand and morphed into something a lot bigger. In truth, this is more a labour of love than anything else and I hope that through reading this, you get a sense of that too. Life as Fiction can be purchased on Amazon and other online stores now.
