23.01.2022 Getting you into the weekend Tathra vibe with some of our favourite photos from @visittathra Instagram this week

23.01.2022 Great Southern Nights - Montgomery Church.

21.01.2022 For our Border bubble visitors, nothing has changed but now those in other areas of Victoria can travel, just like you could before New Year’s Eve.

21.01.2022 Tathra is so lucky to be in the middle of so many stunning national parks. Mimosa Rocks and Biamanga to the north, Bournda and Ben Boyd to the south. Pop in and grab a walking guide or one of many fantastic brochures we have have for fun family time inspiration. Photos are from the Barmouth - Haycock Point walk Ben Boyd NP (number 17 in the guide). #tathrabeachside #visittathra #themiddleofeverywhere #sapphirecoast #LoveNSW #keeponcamping.

20.01.2022 Our beautiful landscape and breathtaking waterways reminding us of the incredible land and sea Country upon which the Sapphire Coast NSW spans. In celebration of National NAIDOC Week, we would like to acknowledge the Tadjera, Munji, Djiringanj, Thaua, Bidawahal, Nulliker and Monaroo people of the Yuin-Monaro Nations who have occupied and cared for this region's land, sea and waterways for thousands of years. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia’s firs...t explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. NAIDOC Week and this year's theme 'Always Was, Always Will Be' is about: "Seeing, hearing and learning the First Nations’ 65,000+ year history of this country - which is Australian history. We want all Australians to celebrate that we have the oldest continuing cultures on the planet and to recognise that our sovereignty was never ceded." 12.01.2022 Tathra is surrounded by beauty and lots of secret beaches. Take the family on an adventure to see if you can find this hidden gem, or maybe find your own secluded paradise. (Hint: only accessible at low tide.) #tathrabeachside #visittathra #sapphirecoastnsw #keeponcamping

12.01.2022 This stunning Humpback Whale show is just off Cuttagee! The Golden sunrise hour on the Sapphire Coast is perhaps our favourite part of the day, and to see the sea spray of a breaching whale lit up by the rising sun is really something magic. Cuttagee is just a short drive from Tathra along the scenic road towards Bermagui. This spring we're bringing you our favourite Sapphire Coast whale watching spots, and this week we're exploring Bermagui. 02.01.2022 The Australian Traveller Story. Voted as #41 on the list of Australia’s best 100 travel secrets and one of the best beaches on the NSW coast. Tathra The quiet achiever Tathra Sapphire sea Tathra is ideal for surfers and fishermen alike... This quaint township, located on the Sapphire Coast, is sandwiched between two national parks; Bournda to the south and Mimosa Rocks to the north, which is a 17-kilometre strip of rugged coastland popular with surfers, fisherman, snorkellers, bird watchers and walkers. All you need for a Tathra holiday is your swimmers, thongs and beach cricket gear. The town itself is clustered around an historic wharf built in 1861 the only remaining coastal steamer wharf in NSW. And this is where most of the action happens there’s a café here that hires out fishing rods to try your luck. Below the wharf fur seals and fairy penguins can be spotted from the colony at nearby Montague Island. But if you’re just coming to laze on the sand, Tathra Beach stretches around three kilometres and is patrolled by a 100-year SLSC. It’s popular with surfers but families will love the tranquil Mogareeka Inlet at the northern end of the beach, a great spot for swimming or to throw in a line (even better, launch your boat here and head upstream for flathead). In fact, Tathra came in at number 41 on AT’s 100 Incredible Travel Secrets list earlier this year no mean feat for a sleepy town in our beautiful country. And we must say, the people who voted (i.e you) weren’t wrong. #visittathra #ItsInOurNature #tathrabeach #holidayherethisyear #reclaimsummer #tathrabeachside #sapphirecoastnsw #startfeelingit
