13.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE TATIARA DISTRICT COUNCIL OFFICES, LIBRARY, GALLERY, VISITOR INFORMATION CENTRE AFFECTED BY NEW COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS Council’s offices, library, gallery, visitor information centre and outlets and transfer stations have been closed or put on hold as a precaution following the latest Covid-19 outbreak.... In response to the latest restrictions imposed by the SA Government from midnight 18th November 2020, and in order to protect the public health and safety of Tatiara District residents, several service changes have been made. In implementing these changes, our priority is to ensure the safety of all in our community, especially our most vulnerable residents. Therefore, Council has decided to close most of its facilities for at least six days following SA Government restrictions and advice. And Council is acting quickly and cautiously to minimise the risk to our community of the possible spread of Covid-19. The following changes will apply from 5.00 pm, 18th November (unless stated otherwise) until at least 9.00 am, Wednesday, 25th November 2020: All Council offices are closed. For inquiries or urgent matters please phone Customer Service on 8752 1044 or email us at [email protected] All library services are closed. The Walkway Gallery is closed. All transfer station services are closed. The Bordertown and Keith public pools are closed. All Council volunteer programs and activities are on hold. All visitor information centre services are closed. Clayton Heritage Farm Museum is closed. Council will continue to operate core services including, field service incident response groups for response to urgent incidents, and Customer Service via phone (8752 1044) and email ([email protected]). At this point in time we expect these measures to be in place for at least six days. We will be continually reviewing our operations and our services over the coming days and will reassess these decisions as further information and advice from the SA Government and SA Health comes to hand. We are asking everyone to help keep our community safe by following the restrictions currently in place. If you need to contact Council or make payments, we have phone and online contact options available. Council will continue to review these measures in line with the latest SA Government advice and information and will keep the community updated about any changes via its website, Facebook page and through local media. While the project is still in the early stages we are seeking your input to help us shape the future look and feel of the playground. Please help us by taking a few minutes to fill out this survey to help us understand what elements you think are important to consider in the design.

01.01.2022 From midnight tonight, South Australians will pause and create a 6 day circuit breaker that will enable us to get ahead of the Parafield Cluster. This means al...l non-essential workers must stay home and only leave for groceries and medical supplies. Our decision to go hard and go early is based on the advice of our world class health team. I know the restrictions we have put in place will be challenging for many South Australians, but the alternative is the virus escapes into the wider community forcing an even longer lockdown. I urge people to be kind and respectful to one another during this time. Click through the images to see what's open and what's closed. Thank you for working together with us - we WILL get through this.
