25.01.2022 Always a surprise when you open a gate! Love when I’m given a challenge.

22.01.2022 Had a bit of play around today with a Greenworks Tatura hedger supplied through 3B Small Engines Pty Ltd which is our local stockist. Light weight, runs quite and can really recommend for hedges around the home. Operated for over a half hour and lost no battery power from start to finish. Battery still showed 3/4 charge after a half hour of running non stop. Can’t wait to use it again, no fumes, no fuel and relatively little noise.

20.01.2022 People often wonder if pea straw mulch or sugar cane mulch keeps the weeds under control. This job was landscaped by someone else and they simply ran out of pea straw mulch so decided to leave it unfinished. Can’t hurt right? Wrong! Check out this area left exposed with no mulch after 2 weeks compared to where the mulch was applied. Note. (Not my landscape work) lol

19.01.2022 What else to do on a Saturday. Tidy up after a rental vacate.

19.01.2022 Hard day at the office but another happy client. This area was rock hard but came up a treat with some hard yakka. Had to get rid of a little gum that had grown from a dropped seed but wasn’t in the right place. Some roses and a few citrus trees that the client had in barrels weren’t doing too good hopefully they enjoy their new location.

16.01.2022 Another one bites the dust! This elderly client really wanted his veggie patch but wasn’t able to bend down or cultivate like he used to. So above ground veggie patch it is. Maintenance friendly and we designed so he can get around with his walker support if need be. Shout out to Tom from Tdiggers for doing a great job on the mini digger.

05.01.2022 Another day of hedge trimming tried a couple of the Greenworks Tatura range of trimmers again. Also available at 3B Small Engines Pty Ltd I’ve used various 4 stroke brands over the years and must say these battery operated green works ones stack up pretty good. This hedge is fiddly work and usually back breaking being so low to the ground at least today it was lighter work as the hedgers are not as heavy to handle so less back strain, no fumes in my face and a lot less noise. Also I must add I’m not affiliated with green works in anyway and am just happy to provide feedback on a product that I think stacks pretty good.

05.01.2022 Bit wet to be doing lawns today, no good to mow grass over saturated ground as it compacts the soil and suffocated the roots doing more harm than good but hedges still come up good

04.01.2022 Finally some spring colour! This elderly client has been waiting and watching patiently at the pots I hung and seeded for her through the colder months and is pleased with the result. Just a snippet of her glorious garden.

02.01.2022 November as usual is keep your eyes wide open for Bindii month and sure enough what did I come by this morning? Yes get them now while they are young. Heat and a shower of rain and they are guaranteed to germinate. Spray or pull them out immediately. They can go from germination to seed in 4 weeks. ...
