17.01.2022 Another scorching day is expected tomorrow, so if for some ridiculous reason we go ahead,here’s what the line ups will be. Numurkah Penguins v Tat Tornadoes Kyabram Bombers v Tat Storm Tat Hurricanes v Tongala Tat Thunder v Dhurringile ... Duty team Hurricanes And so we wait... Subject: Heat Rule Hi all clubs, Just a clarification on the heat rule for tomorrow. If at 9am the forecast temperature for the town of play is 38 or above the heat rule is invoked. This means the following happens: 1. If 1 or both teams don't want to play the match will be called a draw. 2. If both teams are happy to play then the match may continue at players own risk. (Captains please be mindful of all your players wishes and don't force players to play who don't want to). 3. Matches may be moved +-24 hrs to avoid heat if both teams agree. 13.01.2022 Round 1 is in the books! I hope everyone enjoyed being out there on court competing again. 42 of our 43 teams across 5 grades battled it out in windy conditions.... We welcomed Bendigo who played their first match ever in our competition narrowly going down to last years premiers the Shepp Lakers in GM1. Also lots of juniors made their senior tennis debuts and I'm sure a few older players did as well, so well done to those players and look forward to seeing you on court on a Saturday afternoon again. Just a reminder to keep to the Covid rules of the club you play at each Saturday. I know it's not much fun but hopefully it won't be long before we can return to our usual activities off court, but until then keep doing the right thing. Stay safe as we don't want any of our clubs getting a fine.

10.01.2022 It was great to see everyone enjoying being back out on court yesterday! Terribly windy but lots of laughing going on. Just thought we’d pop few results up for those interested In blustery conditions:... Tat Storm 9/88 defeated Tat Hurricanes 4/67 Tat Tornados 13/100 defeated Shepp Coyotes 0/36 (wowzers!) Tat Thunder - went down by 4 games to Mooroopna Misfits. Members Draw winner - Adele Ormsby...received $20 in folding. Clemo’s wheel winner - Clemo. 08.01.2022 OMG... this wind!!! Just a reminder for those hanging around after tennis today we have pulled Clemo’s wheel out of storage and will have that spinning and we also have the members draw. I’d better explain for the newbies- Clemo’s wheel is for everyone hanging around being social after tennis and is automatic free entry. Membership draw is for everyone who has paid their membership, free entry also, but you must be present at the draw. This jackpots if we don’t get a winner! Good luck to all teams today(you’ll need it) and we’ll see you after for a coldie.

02.01.2022 2021 Inter-regionals Expression of Interest: Hi all Goulburn tennis players and families, Great news! Tennis Victoria a couple of days ago has given us the all ...clear to start planning for the 65th Inter-regional Country Championships that will be going ahead at Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club from Friday 8 January to Sunday 10 January. If you would like to be considered for the Goulburn team and try to help make it 5 in a row for our great region, please send your name and age as of the 31st January 2021 in by next Sunday 15th November. Sorry about the short notice but there will not be a lot of time to get the team picked so you can sort accommodation etc. Once I have a list of players interested I will let you know a plan. I want to make sure the process is fair and that everyone who puts their hand up has a chance of selection. We will be taking the best available team to try regain the title again, So please get involved, spread the word and let's make sure we have a full team to take to Warrnambool in Jan 2021. Age groups are 18/u, 16/u, 14/u, 12/u, 25/u, Open, Over 35, & Over 50.
