25.01.2022 MELBOURNE! We did it!! AHHH, I can’t even express how nice it feels to know that from 11.59pm tonight, we are finally free! What a year it has been! When I found out the latest Premier Update, I was on an afternoon walk with my sister and I just began singing from the top of my lungs Freedom by George Michael You couldn’t wipe the smile off my face or tell me to be quiet even if you tried This year has been tough - extremely tough! At one stage, I honestly had no i...dea whether or not my business would survive. There was soo much uncertainty, so much anxiety! It was really hard to watch other states get back into Covid Normal life as we were many steps behind. Although it was frustrating, we are so lucky in so many ways Melbourne. Through all that we sacrificed, through all the tough times - we made it! I am soo looking forward to seeing my family and friends again! I am so proud to say, that even after all the hardships this year, my business is still running and @taurodesigns is here to stay! First official day of freedom here in Melbourne I made a little pit stop to spotlight today and boy did it feel nice to be able to touch cushions and linen and actually see it in person rather than just on a screen. It felt strange being around people but also was kind of nice too!? Mixed emotions about everything but the most important thing is that people were still being COVID safe which was nice to see! This year was unexpected and at first, caused a lot of anxiety and stress howeverrrr, I was so very lucky to have support from family, friends, clients, colleagues, REA’s, followers... and more. 10.01.2022 Branding is such an essential part to any business. I learned this whilst working with Kate from @lifeandbusinessinflow last year. When I first started my business four years ago, I created my logo on Microsoft word!! I remember whilst studying, we had to create a business page on wix, and right away I created @taurodesigns It was always my dream to run a small Interior Design business, however I had no idea how close I was to achieving this dream. At a young age, I was... out there contacting local agents and putting my name out and about. I started off part time and soon enough, when I felt more confident, I took a huge leap to work full-time as a Sole Trader. Starting a small business can be terrifying. There are so many possibilities, so much uncertainty, but can also be so rewarding! I am so proud of my business and my overall brand! Thanks to all those who support it and continue to stand by and an even bigger thanks to those that have helped with the branding! The sad news however, is that given the current restrictions in Melbourne, I have had to postpone my appointments back further and further until we get the all clear from Mr Dan and team! My creative thoughts shout rotate this, remove this add this When I walked through this property with my clients, I discussed with them some simple changes that will make a BIG difference and suggested that I will add some bits and pieces to simply enhance what they currently have. And this is ...how it went down! I suggested to rotate the bed 90 degrees and centralise it to the main wall. There was a desk and dresser to the side of the bed, so I asked, it it was possible - to move these out to another space. By doing this, there was so much more room in the main bedroom, without it feeling cluttered.
