25.01.2022 Such an uplifting and inspirational story of two chefs tackling racism and its long overdue cultural shift in America through food and determination to teach children about where their food comes from. So much respect. Can't wait to travel back to the states one day and head to Krewe Restaurant for some gumbo.

24.01.2022 The latest news and insights right here.

24.01.2022 So good! Great for birthday parties too.

23.01.2022 So much respect for this chef Amanda Fuller. Listen to her story and you will too.

22.01.2022 If an apple a day will keep the doctor away then Im going for a Crimson Snow apple. Had the privilege of enjoying a delicious apple pudding @thezinhouse over the weekend then managed to hop next door @lowefamilywineco to stock up on some Crimson Snow myself. White flesh with a tarty sweet flavour. Dont be put off by their size (hard to see in this pic but some are enormous and could quite possibly feed a family of 4). #appleseason #visitnsw #mudgee #realfood @ The Zin House

21.01.2022 What a night! MC for the virtual Flavours of Colombo event for hospitalty students from @kenvalecollege was great. This soft shell crab roti taco was stunning too. Learning more about the @colombosocial #plateitforward community initiative feeding those in need made me want to get out and contribute to their campaign. Theyre doing some great work making life better for those who are disadvantaged by supporting, feeding and educating. A real ray of sunshine amongst the clouds. @ Colombo Social

21.01.2022 I absolutely adore globe artichokes and broad beans! Even more so when they’re grown in the soil of a friend @olivequeenoz @altoolives. 18.01.2022 Podcast #8 has been released This podcast we sat on the crate with Tony Green. Tony is the General Manager, Marketing NAFDA foodservice. During our chat w...e were inspired by Tony's personal journey. Tony has had over his 30+ years dedicated to the foodservice Industry. From a young successful chef who was in the opening brigade of the Crown in Melbourne, to changing his career path and entering the challenging world of sales, and now finding his place as an industry leader in Marketing . Did you know there was a University degree on potatoes? Tony was fortunate whilst he was working with Simplot to undertake this learning, in the potato capital of America, Idaho. Reflection is a wonderful thought! It is not until we share our stories that we realise how far we have come in our life and our career. Be brave be adventurous be anything you want to be, this podcast is a great reminder of how we can all land in a great place - it is up to us to make that happen. We hope you enjoy listening to Tony's story in his own words. You can now find our podcast on Spotify and itunes. If you subscribe to itunes and enjoying listening to our podcasts please leave us a review. https://traffic.libsyn.com//chefsmi/Tony_Green_Podcast.mp3

16.01.2022 Getting back to business!

15.01.2022 I seriously cant believe this could be a thing.

15.01.2022 Juneteenth is such an important day in American history as it represents the end of slavery in 1865. Red-coloured food plays a huge part in the celebration of this historic day as it symbolises the blood shed by African Americans in the fight for freedom. You will find watermelon slices, pink sausages and red carbonated soft drinks on most Juneteenth menus in addition to sweet treats such as pies & cakes. This festive strawberry slab pie is sure to be a festive winner today. This recipe looks particularly delicious with its bright red filling and cracked black pepper crust.

04.01.2022 Adam Moore visited iugis waste management facility this week. He was so impressed that he wanted to share the great work they are doing with you. Is there a b...etter way to manage food waste There sure is . Food waste disposal is a big problem. One-third of all food produced ends up in landfill . Trucks transporting food waste emit carbon dioxide . Landfill emits methane and toxic leachate to our waterways. This shows the size of the problem. And its increasing . We can change that . Our food waste digesters enable you to dispose of food waste on site. At your restaurant, your hotel, your food manufacturing business. No more landfill . No more trucks. No more odours and pests. Better for your staff and your customers . https://iugis.com/food-waste-solutions See more

01.01.2022 I cant tell you how fabulous it felt to be back hosting farmers market tours again this morning at Northside Produce Market. Writing a CovidSafe market tour plan was challenging but we did it and as my guests reflect on our morning together, I have no doubt they will be cooking at home with a stronger connection to the people behind the produce after hearing their stories either directly or indirectly through me with this new format. Thank you @nthsydmkts for supporting this initiative and to all the artisans I have the privilege to work with. #ilovemyjob #farmersmarket #knowyourproducer #knowyourfarmer #supportlocal #chefslife @ Northside Produce Market
