22.01.2022 For me, this song is about remembering. The world will put obstacles in your life that will seperate you from who you really are, you need to be constantly reflecting and finding a way back to your authentic self every time life knocks you down. We weren't put on this planet to be bitter, resentful, judgemental, guarded or cruel towards others. If you find yourself in an unhappy place, your journey is simply not over. There's always another mountain after a valley.
09.01.2022 So we are in the midst (or just the beginning?) of the COVID-19 lockdowns all over the world. I've recently been made temporarily unemployed from both of my jobs, as have many people. There is a lot of fear & uncertainty circulating the internet. Whilst these are very stressful times, I'm honestly happy just to be in my bedroom with my dog & cat in this moment, alive and healthy. I think we forget to make the most of little moments, I definitely do. We should take this quarantine time as an opportunity to be present and re-connect with our loved ones, perhaps this is the universe reminding us all to look each other in the eyes again and create space for one another, instead of being so constantly busy with ourselves & our problems. I have a feeling there is going to be a tonne of creativity blooming in the weeks to come.
