He managed to get 2nd in a 94km Road Race and a KOM jersey today. As a result, entitled him as a winner for the GC of Metros Champ. 21.01.2022 Adam Williams is up next In the QRTS team. Having moved to Aus from the UK in late 2015, he then got into road cycling more seriously, maybe the weather helped. Q.1 How long have you been racing road bikes? A. My first race was in March 2017 with @lifecyclecyclingclub at the Nundadome! C grade and hairy legs. ... Q.2 What type of rider do you class yourself as? A. A climber with a sprinkle of sprinter. Q.3 Solo rides or group rides? A. I mostly ride and train solo at my own pace. Q.4 Favourite brand/kit? A. BMC (and Focus shhhh) Q.5 Best race/course/or place youve cycled? A. Radelaide!! And a Kholo loop. Q.Cycling achievements? A. 2018 Qld State road champ (Div1) Twilight series overall winner (B1) Metros GC and KOM 17 (C) and 18 (B) Anzac 25 2nd 17, 3rd 18 Lifecycle Classic 5th 17 Tyalgum 3rd (A) Tour de Brisbane 5th Battle Recharge 17 2nd GC + KOM And a few crit podiums here and there.

18.01.2022 This past weekend saw 3 of the team taking on a tough 120km road race for the Qld State road champs. Adam Williams and Kyle Godson in Masters 1, and Luke Bona in Masters 2. The Mas 1 race saw Adam break from the group and take the win with a solo 60km effort, and Kyle also dropping the bunch later in the race to come in second shortly after. Mas 2 saw a big split in the group, with Luke riding strong to take a well deserved 3rd. ... Well done lads!

14.01.2022 Great result for Adam Williams today at the A grade Hamilton Wheelers crit, took the top step with a well timed sprint coming from the back of the bunch. Also took out the 2nd prime of the race. Well done!!

14.01.2022 Check out our wrap up of #QRTS Round 1 below!!! This past weekend saw 6 of the @taylorcycles boys competing in Round 1 of the Queensland Road Team Series, a first for all but one of them! The first stage was an 80km road race held at Elimbah, the guys rode well in the bunch and luckily missed a big pile up mid-way into the race, a break however went up the road and the bunches paced calmed down until the last few remaining kms, all riders crossing the line safely in the pac...k. Stage 2 in the afternoon was a 20km TT, our two favourites for this having brought actual TT bikes were Luke and Dan, who both rode a respectable 32minute time (Dan however was faster, but hit with 2 time penalties), however the star of the show was Declan, on his road bike smashing a low 30minute time! The lads had survived the first day and headed home to recharge for Sundays 75km undulating course with a hill top finish. A wet and windy Wamuran greeted the riders, today was going to be tough! All 6 set off ready to hit the six undulating laps prior to the big climb, however things didnt quite go to plan, unfortunately Adrian washed out early in the race on a very wet corner, he got back on to chase however a puncture shortly after ended his day. Luke missed a break in the bunch on an extremely fast opening lap, and fought hard for another lap to catch the group but couldnt make it back on. Dan was riding strong but had a mechanical on lap 3, and Rom lost touch with the bunch in lap 4. That left Adam and Declan in the bunch hitting the base of the climb around the 68km mark, the bunch broke up very quickly as the gradient ramped up, however Adam found some legs and tapped out a steady tempo to finish in 21st, Declan followed in shortly after with a solid 29th place. Of the 74 starters, there were 22DNFs, highlighting how tough this stage was. All in all, the weekend was a great learning experience of racing at this level and intensity, and best of all, laughs were had and shared with mates, bring on Round 2!

11.01.2022 This past weekend saw the taylorcycles team racing across a number of grades for the Charles Coin Memorial road race. A great effort from the lads with Kyle Godson taking 2nd in Elite B, Adam Williams 3rd in Masters A, and Rob McNamara and Tom Allen Allen competing in Mas C and Elite C, no placing this year but theyll be back for more no doubt! Q1: How long have you been racing road bikes?... A. 8 years with a solid reco phase of 10 years in the middle. Q2: What type of rider would you class yourself as? A. World class shepherd, I keep the pelo safe. Q3: Solo or group rides? A. Solo or small groups rides, maybe 2 - 4 legends. Q4: Favourite brand/kit? A. The kit with all our sponsors name on it! Everything these days is better than when I started cycling! Q5: Best race/course/or place youve ridden? A. Any race with an uphill sprint. Kholo loop is my favourite local ride. Q6: Best cycling achievements? A. Masters QRTS 2018 KOM Jersey, beating Chris Froome in 2005 and 2nd in a Prime at Muzz.

04.01.2022 Continuing with our #QRTS line up is Declan Wharton. The jack of all trades, mixing it up in Elite on both the road bike and MTB. Q.1 How long have you been racing bikes? A. Dunno I'm pretty old these days. Probably 5 years competitively.... Q.2 What type of rider do you class yourself as? A. Most consistent second place getter ever. I'm a safe bet. Q.3 Solo rides or group rides? A. I do a lot on my own but it's good having some hecklers too. Q.4 Favourite brand/kit? A. A BMC or @rockymountainbicycles with @attaquer kit. All about that smooth. Q.5 Best race/course/or place youve cycled? A. Townsville. Ioved it up there. The old school tracks. Q.6 Cycling achievements? A. 3rd in Epic 2017. Don't have a clue how I did it but it happened! Qld State Mountain bike champion. I worked hard for that one.

03.01.2022 Five of the lads took on the Tyalgum Cup road race yesterday in Masters A and C grades. They all finished the course with a 3rd and 5th secured in Mas A and a 2nd in Mas C! Well done lads.
