24.01.2022 As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I am taking my business in a new direction. I am currently putting together some resources that will help make decorating your home and choosing colours and finishes easier.
23.01.2022 Natural materials such as wood, marble, cement and stone having been popular in interior finishes for sometime now and they will continue to be in 2021. So much of our lives now revolves around being indoors and on technology. As humans we need the connection to nature. It is instinctive in us. There are many products available now in natural finishes or replicas of the real materials that you can easily bring the look and feel of nature into your home. ... Being surrounded by nature helps us to unwind, feel calmer and is good for our mental health. Don't you feel happier when you are outside with trees or the beach around you? Decorating your home with materials and colours that reflect the outdoors give you that connection even when you are stuck indoors. What are your favourite natural materials and colours?

12.01.2022 The colour trends for 2021 are all about nurturing ourselves and finding comfort in our homes. The colours are soft and muted. Warm whites and brown-based neutrals will give your home a grounded feel. While soft olive greens and muted ochres bring a sense of the outside indoors. If you like more vivid tones then blue-greens and warm pinky-oranges paired with warm whites will give your home a more stimulating feel.... What colours do you find calming and nurturing in your home?
11.01.2022 What have you got planned? A short break away, some DIY around the house or maybe just relaxing? I think some relaxing time walking on the beach is on the cards for me.
09.01.2022 What is your favourite colour?
07.01.2022 Blue is one of the most popular colours to decorate with. Light blues are fresh and calm and dark blues are more serious and aid focus and concentration. Blue can look cold if it is used with a cool white and you don't have a lot of natural light. To avoid this use warmer whites, include some timber elements to add warmth and texture or go for warmer tones of blue like turquoise, teal or sky blue.... What's your favourite shade of blue?
06.01.2022 Hi, I'm Trudi. I have been running a colour consultancy business for the past four and a half years. Like many others, 2020 has been a challenging year for me, and after a move interstate and COVID-19, I am re-evaluating my business. 04.01.2022 Spring is finally here tomorrow.Once the weather warms up I get a lot more motivation to get things done. It is the perfect time to start thinking about all those DIY jobs around the house, if you don't already have a long list! Here's some ideas to get you started: ... - Painting - Clean and re-stain outdoor furniture - Clean out your gutters - Weeding - Pruning - Decluttering rooms - Spring cleaning - Clean your rugs - Pot up some indoor plants Are any of these on your to do list? What other jobs will you be doing?
02.01.2022 Here's a weekend project. Home magazines are great for getting ideas of colours and styles for your home. These are some of my favourites because they have many affordable options, not just the super expensive ones. Tear out anything you like the look of and keep them in a folder. Over time you will notice a style or colour palette that you are drawn to. This will help you when it comes time to renovate or redecorate your home.... What are your favourite home magazines? Have a great weekend!
