19.01.2022 It’s been so much fun learning about the Aboriginal culture so far this week. To celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Day we commenced a group collaboration to make our own didgeridoo as the children have become quite intrigued by this amazing instrument. Using a recycled cardboard roll, the children first painted it brown to look like wood, we then compared it to a real didgeridoo (thanks Husband) and starting design concepts. The children asked to have their handprints like on the real one. We also explored examples of dot art and look forward to finishing our project together!

06.01.2022 Exploring fruit and veg month by making our own additive and preservative free tomato sauce. The children later on were able to try white chips (potato) and orange chips (sweet potato) that I had cut into chip strips and simply sprayed with a little olive oil and baked! A pinch of sea salt and they were ready to dip dip in our home made sauce! Very proud as some of even the pickier eaters had a taste test and found out, the chips and sauce were delicious!
06.01.2022 Settling up our Composta! What’s a Composta you ask? Well it’s a mini garden, worm farm and compost in one! This is now where all our day care scraps will go... We moved our EYC bean seedlings into their new home so we can really watch their growth! Early Years Care
01.01.2022 Some nice news for 2020! This year I was nominated in the Family Day Care Australia awards! It’s been a tough year juggling life with Covid and ensuring we maintain a high level of cleanliness, new drop off/pick up procedures, constant hand washing and temp checks but it’s all worth it when I get to work with such amazing little humans! Their smiles make me smile #earlyyearscare #taylormadefdc #familydaycareaustralia
