16.01.2022 TaylorMade New Malware Alert! Over the last few weeks there has been a massive new email spam campaign running, the emails appear to come from sources you are likely to believe are safe and these emails contain a word document which is the initial part of the exploit. These emails appear to come from sources such as airlines and businesses you may have dealt with in the past, however this is not the true source, its just spoofed (faked). ... Always be weary about opening any emails from people you dont know! If you open the attached file you will be prompted to enable editing or enable external content - NEVER DO THIS! clicking this is all that Is required to enable the exploit and your computer may become infected! If you have opened an email like this in the past few weeks, get in contact with me now to organise a secure virus scan and pc tune up - starting at $60! Based on initial reports this trojan is a remix of a well knowing bank credentials stealing virus that was active late last year, however I will investigate further over the next few days to know exactly what we are dealing with and how to remove it. - TaylorMadeIT.
12.01.2022 TaylorMade tech tip! It is very unlikely any company will send you an email out of the blue with an invoice or receipt attached and if they do its even more unlikely to be a zip file! If you do find an email regarding an invoice or refund of any kind and youre not expecting it, delete it - if however you are unsure its best to jump on google, find the number for the company and call them to ask about the email you received - never call any phone numbers included in the em...ail as they could also be fake! If you have opened an email like this in the past, get in contact with me now to organise a secure virus scan and pc tune up - starting at $60! Computer security should be as important as locks on your house!
11.01.2022 If you've found your smartphone infected with this fake "Corona Virus tracking app" which has locked your phone and requested ransom. Use the code "4865083501", the unlock code is hard coded. Credit to @EsetResearch and @LukasStefanko on Twitter. https://twitter.com/ESETresearch/status/1239820488110718976
10.01.2022 Finally settling into the new house and slowing building up my office/Work area which will allow me take on more work :D Shoot me a message if there is anything I can help you with!
04.01.2022 I'd hope this is common knowledge, cheap fake SD cards are very unlikely to be the size they present as, I don't mean the storage size noted on the packet, I mean on your computer when you plug it in! HOWEVER, I thought I'd see just how bad it really Is, and to say I'm shocked is an understatement.. I purchased 2 "128GB" class 10 micro SD cards, both presented in Windows as the correct size and was successfully able to write 121GB to these devices, so to the untrained eye, ...great, it must be the correct size, right?! WRONG! Less than 4GB of the total 121GB was accessible after written, so if I'd used this on a holiday or something, I'd have a few days worth of pics and then a bunch of nothingness.. Luckily I bought these with warranty intentionally knowing I'd be using the warranty, plus side is ill get to keep these, fix their reported sizes and have 2 x 4gb SD cards for free which I can use for other projects Keep this in mind when purchasing memory cards AND ONLY buy QUALITY PRODUCTS from REPUTABLE COMPANIES!
