15.01.2022 This is A Day in the Life 2020 Our farmers need workers. They need them in some cases urgently. I work for Growcom Australia, the peak body for horticulture.... We are the voice of this industry. We proudly represent our members, the people who grow your favourite fruit, vegetables and nuts. As a team, we are taking all sorts of action to try and solve this labour problem so you, as the consumer, end up with an adequate supply of fruit and vegetables on your plates at home. Next week I’ll be working as a farm hand on 5 different farms in Stanthorpe to showcase from a grass roots level, what life is like working in horticulture. I’ll be keeping a video diary of my time and posting here. I’m a complete novice at this but I hope this means you get a genuine, warts and all view of what life is like for me over the next week. If you are a young person thinking of a career in agriculture, tune in. If you are a uni student that wants to earn extra money before Xmas, tune in. If you have been displaced through Covid and are maybe seeking a regional tree change, tune in. Thank you in advance to Sweets Strawberry Runners, Ausfarm Fresh, Bratasha Farms, Ashbern Farms and Taylor Produce for having me.

13.01.2022 Cheers to this amazing family business- keep up the great work
12.01.2022 2020 has been an interesting year.. many challenges throughout. This year has just bought us continued drought, bush fires and COVID. ... This year has also forced us into something we did not like... keeping us away from the people we love the most. But it has also bought back many TRADITIONS- like getting to know your neighbours, growing some vegetables in your yard and spending time at home with your family and here we are Christmas time 2020 COVID style. We have many traditions for many occasions, but my traditional item I have been making for Christmas each year... (well, for at least 12years!!!) is Carole’s secret recipe Rocky Road. I have been told that it is very delicious, I can also agree with the judging panel, I am almost addicted to eating it. So with that I have shared this recipe with many, shared the rocky road with many and I will continue to do so. Many teachers gifts, our staff, our friends and mostly our family have enjoyed this yummy treat. Just sometimes it’s the little things that are what’s important. Merry Christmas to you all Stay safe, eat heaps of Green Vegetables this season... it keeps the liver happy #taylorfamilyproduce
