25.01.2022 The path to becoming a Professional Surveyor is a long one and does take quite some time. However with many years of experience and study the rewards at the end are limitless. Taylor Surveying volunteered their time today for the Maths In Surveying Day at Bicentennial Park, Homebush Bay, teaching Year 10 students about the important role maths plays in Surveying, plus making it fun with cool technology such as GPS and Drones!!! Below is the pathway to being a Surveyor in Australia. Contact us should you wish to discuss a future in Surveying.

21.01.2022 We survey all over the Hills District even in the most challenging of environments. Urban , Rural, Mountains and the Sea. Boundary Marking, Detail / Contour Surveys, House / Granny Flat / Pool Set-out. Drone Photography. DA submissions - and help with "Retrospective Approvals".... "RA" - are when you have built a structure illegally or better said without approval from council and simply unaware it was wrong. WE can assist you having those structures approved and work towards getting a continued use approval. It could be a garage or pergola just a wee bit close to the boundary line. If the council have issued you with an order, contact us! See a garage example - despite being too close to the boundary we still got it approved. Better than it having to rip it down.

03.01.2022 Surveyors Secret ---- if you cant find your boundary corner and happen to have an electrical kiosk out the front of your property, then the chances are a corner peg is placed about 0.3m - 0.5m behind it. Have a dig around ( carefully) and you might strike gold! This also applies to light poles. Primarily in an urban area. Most electrical assets are placed within the road but along the alignment of the side boundaries. If all else fails give us a call.

03.01.2022 Every day, my job is like looking for lost treasure. Its the best job in the world ! We sometimes search for survey marks placed by Surveyors more than >100 years ago. Its a long way to drive from Kellyville - but the ocean is such a great place to work. And when the tide goes out, we find amazing survey / boundary rock marks from 1899 !!

02.01.2022 Our survey friends over the border may disagree but our new Leica TS16 gets our likes!!
