17.01.2022 Dial Sports complex one of the many projects we worked on last year drawing up Precast concrete panels and precast seating components for the grandstand.

16.01.2022 One from the archives. We were tasked with the fabrication and installation of the structural steel work at Brooks High School. Among the installation general s...tructural steel work was this little number- a technical piece of architecture in the form of a covered in walkway. This one required some skillful detailing prior to fabrication commencing which brought Tazitech Drafting on to the scene to ensure the detailing was thorough and, as is the norm, Ian and the team did not disappoint. The guys in the workshop were methodical with the fabrication to ensure a quality end product was produced. All hot dipped galvanize finish meant that we had to work in closely with Industrial Galvanizers Tasmania to ensure items could be handled throughout the galvanizing process. We enlisted the services of our long time crane hire contractor Pfeiffer Cranes to handle the heavy lifting. Working closely with our own riggers Pfeiffer Cranes performed flawlessly as always to achieve the installation in a timely, and most importantly, safe manner. The end product speaks for itself. A challenging project has resulted in an awesome end product!

12.01.2022 New walkways around the North Esk River including Structural Steel Pedestrian bridges, viewing platform and roughly 700m of Stainless Steel handrail. One side of the Walkways had curved stainless steel posts with curved perforated panels.

09.01.2022 Project we worked on in 2015 at Brooks High School drawing up steelwork for 2 new buildings as well as canopy pipe frame walkways around new buildings

05.01.2022 Out with the old, in with the new. HB Engineering have recently been engaged by the team from Darcon to fabricate and erect the steel work for the new Ambulance... Station at Campbell Town which will replace the old station at the other end of town. In addition to the main station building we have also supplied and installed the structural steel work for the new residence at the rear of the station. The team from Tazitech Drafting took care of the detailing of this one for us which meant that the fabrication and installation process was as smooth as possible. Working closely with our client throughout the installation process whilst maintaining and exceeding requirements that govern the way things are done under Covid-19 guidelines proved to be smooth sailing. Covid-19 has certainly posed some challenges but HB Engineering have been able to consult with all clients and adapt the way we conduct our works to ensure that project delivery is maintained to a high standard, all the while maintaining the highest standard of health and safety. A cutting edge design on a fully functional building will ensure a great looking end product with all the functionality required by our first responders!

04.01.2022 Big things are uinder way in the Devonport CBD with the Living City project in full swing. HB Engineering recently completed two projects for stage one of the D...evonport Living City project- The Parnaple Centre and Providore Place. Working within any CBD setting throws its challenges at many a construction project, this one was no different. With large steel work members to be installed we required some big cranes and some even bigger trucks. Pfeiffer Cranes were soon enlisted to take care of our heavy lifting requirements for the Parnaple Centre steel work whilst Wootton & Byrne Pty. LTD. had us covered on the Providore Place site. Working closely with our crane hire subcontractors with careful planning we were able to achieve an end product that had minimal impact on public traffic whilst ensuring minimal impact on site traffic so as to not delay other trades. Suncoast Tansport and Holmes Heavy Haulage handled our transport needs to get the product moved from our Launceston workshop to the Devonport Region. Tazitech Drafting were our steel detailer once again on these two buildings and they delivered a top notch product as is common practice for Ian and the team. A very challenging project to detail that required only the best to take this one on. Old meets new in Devonport. Whilst this project presented its fair share of challenges along the way HB Engineering are proud to have contributed to what is certainly an excellent end product within the Devonport Community. This project is a testament to the skills and capabilities of all involved.
