02.01.2022 T R O O P Y T U R R E T Ben’s adventure rig is getting the royal treatment for longevity. This is standard process at our shop, we get a lot of enquires so we thought we’d share the process involved. Check previous post for the beginning. The last few days we did the following: - Prep bare metal for epoxy... - Move into Spray Booth (fresh filters help) - Clean and re-mask body - Apply Epoxy Primer + bake overnight - Move back out of booth + start repairs - 1 day filling low spots + imperfections - Prep for Hi- Fill and mask you again - Apply Hi- Fill and bake overnight - Move back out of booth + rub down - Seam Seal very efficiently! - Prep + back onto Spray booth (3rd time) - Check colour / Mix + match - Ready to paint next day And that’s 3/4 of the way- 2 full days of work and lots of materials. Paint + assembly process next
