18.01.2022 Based on BVs recent announcement which allows for basketball to move to an Orange-50 indoor competition/training reactivation status from June 22, the TABA board advise that the next domestic season will be based on the following set up with the finer details being confirmed at next weeks board meeting: - Domestic basketball will resume early in Term 3 (possibly week 2 or 3) for juniors and hopefully seniors - The competition will be an extended Summer 2020/2021 season, goi...ng through to Term 1 of 2021 - This means that athletes will be stepping up an age group earlier than usual and therefore will only have had one season as a top age player. For example, if your child was top age under 10s in Summer 2019/20 they will go into next season an under 12s bottom age player. 04.01.2022 Great work Jordan Pyle

03.01.2022 Yesterday, the Victorian Government made announcements relating to the easing of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this included allowing people to par...ticipate in outdoor activities or train in community sport in groups of up to 10 people (plus a coach / supervisor). Basketball Victoria supports this approach, as it recognises that sport and exercise play a critical role in the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of Victorians, but importantly this must be balanced with the risk of transmitting coronavirus. While this provides an opportunity for many of us to get back into participating in basketball outside of our home environment, Basketball Victoria wants to emphasise that how we all collectively act in the coming weeks will directly affect the health of our community and our sports ability to return to more regular indoor activity in the near future. We are being provided an opportunity to enjoy a level of sport and exercise outdoors in the short term, but we must not compromise safety, nor the reputation of the sport at this vitally important time. For those wishing to participate outdoors we suggest you refer to Basketball Victorias Outdoor Training Guidelines that have been developed in line with government restrictions and the AIS Framework for Rebooting Sport. Should you choose to participate outdoors, have fun, but please do so in a safe and respectful manner. For a full update and guidance on outdoor activity / training - please visit http://basketballvictoria.com.au/covid-19/

01.01.2022 Well this is exciting news, great to have Jack close to home, well done
