24.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Our new border pass system is live! We’ve streamlined the border pass system to make it easier for people crossing the border into Queensland. ... When you jump online and apply, the system auto selects the pass you need based on the information you provide. A simple document upload process allows for faster assessment and provision of passes, and there's a lengthened validity for each pass from 7 to 14 days. Make sure you apply for your border pass at least three business days before you are intending to travel. This system will help to make it easier for those wishing enter the state, while ensuring we continue to keep Queenslanders safe from COVID-19. Find out more and apply now: www.qld.gov.au/border-pass

23.01.2022 From 7 December, the way you report your employment income is changing. You’ll need to report the gross income you and your partner were paid in your reporting ...period. You can find this information on your payslip. This will make reporting your income easier. You won’t have to calculate the value of all the shifts in your reporting period you just report the gross amounts you’ve been paid. This change is still a little while away, but we wanted to give you all a heads-up. We’ll be sharing more info here as we get closer to 7 December. In the meantime, you can find more details on our website: www.servicesaustralia.gov.au//way-you-report-your-employme

16.01.2022 Update about COVID-19 vaccines in Queensland. The Australian Government has identified and prioritised groups of people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. T...he first people in Queensland to receive the vaccination are those who are at higher risk of getting COVID-19 or of severe illness if they contract the virus. If you are required to be tested frequently because of your daily work, then you will be the highest priority in Phase 1a. People in Phase 1a will be notified by Queensland Health in the coming weeks about when and where you can receive your vaccine. The full list of Queenslanders who fit into Phase 1b will be available soon. This vaccine effort is the greatest in global history and we only need to look overseas, to see a very different reality. We want to assure all Queenslanders, that everyone will have their time to receive the vaccine and we'll keep you updated with the latest information about COVID-19 vaccines, right here.
