15.01.2022 XL Red freshly mounted today. For any clients wondering how their trophy is progressing, I'm currently mounting the February intake of heads. As a one-man operation I work long hours to try and keep turnaround times reasonable, and try to be as honest and upfront about it as possible. But the one thing I can guarantee, is quality that is worth the wait.

11.01.2022 Great old fallow buck just headed home. To the client's request I modified this form to an offset shoulder with greater turn. We often hear hunters mention "old" trophies; but the simple fact is that the majority of deer shot are younger animals. This buck was 10+ years old by jaw wear, way down in body condition with scars to match. And while he was past his prime, he still sported a nice pair of palms and is a fantastic trophy in my books

10.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Here's a cracking fallow I've just put the final stitches in to commence drying 2020 is in the books, for better or worse. After a record 2019, I was expecting this year to be a bit quieter, with borders closed and less travel in general. But I'm blown away that I've equalled my record intake. Thanks to each and every one of you for your ongoing support, I truly appreciate it. This has however meant extended waiting times, and I appreciate your patienc...e there too! 2021 is shaping up to be bigger than ever with some BIG things on the cards. I can finally commence work revamping my workshop and showroom which will be awesome in the longer term. With the lack of international freight in 2020, I also have several large shipments of African trophies that should arrive this year. The upshot of all this, is that I fully expect wait times in 2021 will reach 12 months. I've been trying hard to avoid this, but the way things are looking I'd say its inevitable, and I'd rather be upfront about it! After prices staying the same for the last 2 years, there will be a small price rise for 2021 to cover increasing costs of materials and freight. This will average $50 on most deer mounts, and of course will not apply to existing work. Anyhow that's enough from me. Thanks again for your support. Good hunting for 2021, I can't wait to see what awesome trophies walk in the door! TB

01.01.2022 A personal trophy, my Blesbok from South Africa. A bit of a story behind this mount... I really dislike straight alert mounts, and this will be the first one in my trophy room. When I shot this ram, he was facing me straight on in this pose. Convinced he was about to bolt, I rushed the shot and hit him poorly requiring a follow-up. My worst shot on safari ever. So this guy will be straight alert in my trophy room. And every time I look at him he will act as a reminder to never be a dickhead and rush my shot again!
