09.06.2022 A huge ‘Asante Sana’ to everyone who helped us celebrate Tanzanian Independence day on the July 6th. Better late than never! Thank you to our incredible volunteers and community. It is your involvement that make events like the other night possible, where we can all come together and celebrate what makes us truly proud: being Tanzanian. It was an wonderful night filled with great food, amazing music, and most of all, incredible people. It was a pleasure to host the Assistan...t Minister to the Premier, the Honourable Jing Lee, and her partner. We hope to see them at many more events in the future. Lastly, a huge thank you to our Executive Board, Catherine Maynard, Felicia Adikea, Wishi Jackson, Peter Masmaz, and Matayo Moshi, without whom, and their tireless organisational efforts, the event would not have been possible. We hope you are well, and can’t wait to see you at our next event.

04.01.2022 A few of the Tanzanian community members attended the In solidarity with the people of Minneapolis event in the city today. Thank you for your attendance. Black Lives Matter. Indigenous Lives Matter. Everyone lives matter. There are too many people not only in Australia but also globally who are continuously being marginalised, not listened to and continuously being mistreated because of the colour of their skin, their ethinicity, tribe they belong to, religion affiliation... or political views. As a humanity, we are here with you, walking with you. We are saying these injustices must stop. It stops with all of us rising up and speaking up. Lets continue to work with all levels of government, communities and other partners to ensure that we are looking for ways to heal, identify solutions to be better humans not only for ourselves but for generations to come. Stay well. Stay safe. Stay strong.
