20.01.2022 I've never seen anything like this before. @bigmikemuniz who is known as "the Corolla guy" fully restored this 1972 Toyota Corolla Sprinter Trueno and he found ...a set of brand new old stock original tires with the sticker intact. These were vacuum sealed back in 1972 in Japan by Toyota for whatever reason. Every single part on this car is brand new or fully restored. This is basically a brand new 50 year old car. He doesn't let the car roll on these tires, when they are not on the car they get deflated and vacuum sealed again for the next show. We shot an almost hour long @thehoonigans Autofocus episode on this car. Also in case you were wondering this car is not for sale, and it's getting donated to the Toyota museum in Japan when Mike passes. Absolutely insane. @team_wildcards #wildcards #hoonigan #hooniganautofocus #autofocuslarrychen #autofocus #toyota #toyotausa #corolla #sprintertrueno #toyotacorolla #lifeofchen #sirplease @ Los Angeles, California

14.01.2022 Introducing your Committee for 2020/2021!
14.01.2022 Dear all, We, the Toyota Car Club of Australia (TCCA) Committee, have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation over the past few weeks. In light of recent events, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Sakura Picnic, which was scheduled to be held on Sunday 3rd May 2020.... This decision is in the best interest of our club members, and the larger Japanese Car community, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. To all of the volunteers and vendors who registered, thankyou. To everyone who had purchased a ticket, you will be receiving a refund in the near future. Regards, Toyota Car Club of Australia Committee
10.01.2022 Hello all, It is now official that all track activity at the Australian Grand Prix has been cancelled. Do not make your way into the event, as there is nothing to see. To our members whose cars are currently on display, security is still in place. We will maintain communication and keep you up to date with information as it is released.

08.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our oldest members in Tom Turpyn. Tom was an original member from the Celica Car Club days. His love of both the car he drove (TA22 Celica) and the club were never hidden. He would always be coming to meetings to offer help at our events and share with us where and what he was doing with his car. His input, generosity to those around him and that dry sense of humour will be sorely missed. I'd like all of you who... knew Tom .... if you could, please share a story of him and why no matter what he always seemed to endear himself to others in some way. From his poor dad jokes ( I will miss them ) to the passion he had as a person for others and the club. I met Tom about 7 years ago when he got back in touch with the club and he came to a general meeting at Bell's hotel in Sth Melb. After seeing a few old faces he knew , He came up to me and said he was home and was sorry for being away for so long. I had never met him before in my life until this night. From then on I became his friend, he'd pull me up at every meeting just to make sure he said hello and tell me what he was up 2. whilst probably wrong to say at this time.... his standard line when asked about how he was going was to tell me and anyone listening that he didn't wake up today with a toe tag and the day that he does get one ..... some other bugger is going to have to tell me. he'll be busy that day. Sadly, today was that day. Tom was always first to sign up at events such as Classic Japan and volunteer at them as well . His passing in this time of 2020 and Covid 19 truly does hurt. At a time when we are all shut away from our friends, his friendship, dad jokes and assistance in anything that he can do both with and for the club will be missed.
08.01.2022 Hi All, the TCCA committee is aware of the situation unfolding at the Grand Prix with its potential cancellation. We are aware that Daniel Andrews (Victorian Premier) has advised that no spectators will be allowed to attend, however, we have not received any information from the Formula One or Motorsport Australia. To our members whose cars are currently on display, we will maintain communication and keep you up to date with information as it is released. Thank you all for your ongoing patience.
02.01.2022 Attention Financial Club Members, be sure to check your inboxes for a special newsletter! Tonight we are missing what would have been the May General Meeting. While we are here, let's turn this post into a virtual car show! Post pictures of your cars below.
