20.01.2022 On Sunday, TCFL lost one of their own. Pyro worked for Cath and Jack for the last few years but before that, and always, he was a mate. Pyro was so loved in Tennant Creek and he will be sorely missed. It is with a heavy heart that we say good bye to our dear friend. Jack and Cath would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to Pyro’s family, to those who knew and loved him, and to the Tennant Creek community. ... Rest easy mate, here’s cheers.

02.01.2022 What a great post! What do you think?

01.01.2022 Motorists travelling on the Barkly Highway are urged to remain vigilant to wandering livestock in the area following a two truck collision yesterday. Cattlemen ...will be in the area and attempting to muster the rogue bovines. A truck driver has escaped with only minor injuries following a two truck collision on the Barkly Highway yesterday afternoon. Around 4:40pm police received a report of two trucks involved in a collision near the Barkley Homestead. One truck carrying three trailers of cattle was travelling westward when it is alleged another truck carrying three empty trailers failed to see the oncoming prime mover and began turning right onto the Tablelands Highway. The truck with the cattle hit the picks, but side swiped the other truck resulting in one of the trailers full of cattle tipping over and releasing cattle to flee into the surrounding countryside. A 66-year-old man suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to the Tennant Creek Hospital for treatment. Both trucks suffered significant damage as a result of the crash. The other two trailers remained upright and were towed away from the crash site. No cattle were destroyed on site. Police inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
