18.01.2022 Bt50 to the rescue!

17.01.2022 Recently I started reading a book called ‘Sam’s Best Shot’ A story about a father who took his teenage autistic son on the trip of a lifetime, to teach him and ...guide him in situations and life experiences in which he would never be able to experience in his home of Australia. Although as parents Tim and I (I admit mostly Tim as I always worry about the consequences and the ‘what if’s’) try to encourage Harvey to experience as many things as he is willing to try, I’ve been completely re inspired to experience more things with Harvey that will push him to do things out of everyday life and make our bond as a family even stronger. Harvey’s ultimate goal (his choice not ours ) is to do the point to pinnacle as he points out to us every year! I admit, this might not be a goal that is achievable this year, but instead I’ve voweled to enter into as many mini marathons as we can complete together this year. We are starting with the Run the bridge in February, but we are also tackling the very challenging Raw Challenge in March in the youth course. Tim, Harvey and I will be attempting the muddy terrain to push ourselves to the limit and to show Harvey that he is capable of anything he puts his mind to. In saying this, I thought what better way to motivate us to get to the finish line then raising some funds for our favourite charity LEND A HAND TO HUGO. The Lend a hand to Hugo Foundation as some of you may know is a charity that we love and support dearly as they are a Hobart based charity that 100% supports Tasmanian families with Autistic children. Our Harvey being one of them. All funds raised go directly to helping beneficiaries of the foundation, with the number of families growing as more funds are raised for the charity. But it’s not just about the funding they provide, it’s the constant support as well. So please support us in our Raw Challenge motivation and support our Charity The Lend a Hand to Hugo Foundation by donating to : Any small contribution would be greatly appreciated. And don’t worry, we will be providing video and photo evidence of us completing the challenge
