In summary - the $550 supplement will be paid to both existing and NEW RECIPIENTS. This is currently will be for the next six months and will not be income tested. If you are an employee, for example, who has been made redundant or lost hours due to being in th...e hospitality industry (including sole traders, self-employed, casual workers and contractors) - you should apply. Asset testing and waiting times has been waived for some categories. Payment categories currently include: - Farm Household Allowance - Jobseeker Payment (formerly Newstart) - Youth Allowance Jobseeker - Parenting Payment - Special Benefit recipients People will not be permitted, and will need to declare that they are not, accessing employer entitlements (such as annual and or sick leave) or Income Protection Insurance, as the same time as receiving Jobseeker Payment and Youth Allowance Jobseeker under these arrangements.
