04.01.2022 Learning to write and learning letter sounds (phonics) doesn’t have to be boring. I like to use several different medium to reinforce the work that I am teaching- make letters out of play dough, write them in shaving foam or with chalk in the pavement, find magnetic letters in a rice bucket..... and start with words that are motivating to your little ones While working with letters you can also be targeting fine motor skills, visual scanning, sensory processing and so many other skills

Community access (and shopping ) is an important skill to learn as we grow; and allows us to practice many functional skills, such as; -time management -money management -orientation -memory... -budgeting -counting and numbers -social skills and pragmatic language -Safety awareness and impulse control -decision making, and -problem solving To name a few It is a meaningful activity that can be scaffolded to work within the clients comfort levels, and extended to make improvements to functional capacity.
