23.01.2022 Working from home or just need a couple of minutes to yourself?

22.01.2022 With daycare open only to essential workers we are back to Mummy Daycare here. There are so many wonderful things that can be explored through colour! Descriptive language, naming objects, sensory preferences, visual art (oh yes, I let my 9 month old crawl through red paint in just his nappy ), literature, matching, visual/spatial awareness, food/healthy eating, sensory play... etc. Of course we are keeping it fairly simple at this age, using the wonderful red paintings as pages in out RAFFAEL LEARNS ABOUT RED book with photos and simple words. Which colour should we do next week?!?

19.01.2022 What are you favourite children’s books? Do you like classics such as Eric Carle books or newer ones like Pig the Pug?

11.01.2022 NEW AAC Boot Camp Graphic (FREE to download!) After 7 years, I decided it was time to update my AAC Boot Camp Do's and Don'ts poster. Here is the updated graphi...c!! I chose an infographic style to allow more room for content. See below for links to download the full infographic as a PDF, image file, or printable document that you can piece together as a poster. A link to a screen reader-friendly version is also included. See links below AND in the photo captions. I am trying to find a company that will print the infographic as a poster or a banner for a reasonable cost (for those who are interested). CLICK THIS LINK TO OPEN THE FULL INFOGRAPHIC!! http://bit.ly/AACBootCamp2020PDF DOCUMENT WITH ALL AAC BOOT CAMP 2020 LINKS: http://bit.ly/AACBootCamp2020LinkList LINK TO SCREEN READER FRIENDLY AAC BOOT CAMP VERSION: http://bit.ly/AACBootCamp2020SR Many thanks to my friends in the AAC community who tolerated my many questions and requests for feedback and input! Dr. Carole Zangari, Rachael Langley, Kate Ahern, Sarah Gregory, and Shaun Pearson....thank you for your patience, support, and guidance! Thank you also to Sally Norton-Darr who inadvertently lit a fire under me to FINALLY update the document when she asked to share the old one! I'm SUPER excited that Claudia Marimón translated the document into Spanish! See separate post. If anyone else is interested in translating this new version into other languages, please let me know! Hope you all find it helpful!
