After fleeing Afghanistan at the age of 10, Najeeba has gone on to become the founder and president of Hazara Women of Australia, which helps newly arrived refugee women to learn English. She is also a settlement case worker and has dreams to study international law. The theme for this year is Celebrate Biodiversity, with over one million species currently facing extinction. We know that with so much going on in the world at the moment, you might be feeling a little fatigued. So we just want to encourage you to take one step today, however small. It might be watching a documentary or buying a keep cup, is there something small you can do today that the environment will thank you for?

08.01.2022 Today is World Refugee Day and we want to send out our respect to anyone who has had to flee their home. We will never understand how that feels but we admire the strength and determination of those who have experienced it. If the world is teaching us anything at the moment it is how much we can learn from others so we encourage you to seek out information and participate in raising awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world.
