25.01.2022 The glowing logistics team of Battambang hard at work, getting supplies, resources and the occasional frog for dissection. Class rolls, morning tea sustenance and many other things too numerous to mention emanate from this hive of activity that is Battambang TAB HQ.

21.01.2022 The closing ceremony of Battambang 2020, a lot of great workshops ran, a great deal of professional learning occurred, for both our Khmer participants, presenters and interpreters as well as our Australian presenters. Collaboration across cultures with teaching as the commonality

20.01.2022 A fascinating documentary from our colleagues and collaborators from Teachers Across Borders Sweden: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxqVFqsTbdI - Using their coaching method in Siem Reap, great to observe their program and watch it back now! #TABoz

13.01.2022 Teachers Across Borders Australia workshops are in full swing with our eager Khmer colleagues working well and very engaged. Bit of fun along the way too with games, rhymes, songs and a variety of learning activities. Heartfelt thank yous to the many people who have so generously supported our fundraising and made these workshops possible. The books in the photo are also a direct result of our fundraising as we use them to demonstrate questioning techniques and developing cri...tical thinking skills. We also explain how we are able to give them this resource, so as they happily hold up their books, they are saying a BIG thank you! Importantly, I should add that our participants (along with us ourselves of course) are most concerned and distressed about the catastrophic bushfires in Australia. They ask us about them every day and send their best wishes. See more

08.01.2022 Mapping of Cambodia and Australia from memory, following from a gallery walk of each other’s maps. Then individual maps were shared for individual practice #TABoz

06.01.2022 A look back at a time when Susie Lachal taught an English class with Sivuthy. Our primary work is teacher development workshops, yet we teach model lessons and respond to needs when asked. If you can see yourself doing this work join our mailing list.

03.01.2022 Working on our social media policy, approach and making our website and online presence match our values as a not-for-profit organisation. Plenty of work to be done, let us know if you have skills to lend our board? #TABoz

03.01.2022 The second day of our Train the Trainer course has gone extremely well, under the amazing leadership of Jo Marveggio, assisted by Sue Clements and myself, along with our fabulous translators Kanhchana and Taree. A beautiful New Year’s Ceremony was going on outside at the same time, with students giving food to all the local monks. Our impressive Khmer colleagues are engaged, serious about learning, and happy. They are very keen to participate in activities and discussions on ...teaching and learning in their classrooms. We are all engaged in critical thinking that is very challenging. Presenters and participants are all working hard to match our Program with the Cambodian Government’s Educational Strategic Plan, focusing on the provision of inclusive, equitable programs, ensuring quality education and lifelong learning. In accordance with Teachers Across Borders Australia’s philosophy, as presenters, we are mindful of the importance of listening and being responsive to our Cambodian colleagues’ voices. We finished our NYEve session together with a fine rendition of ‘Aul’ Lang Syne’! Happy New Year to friends and colleagues, near and far. See more
