22.01.2022 We’re excited to announce a new project, Special Dads, by our very own Special Dad. Please head to the group page to see what it’s all about, and feel free to tag any Special Dad’s that could benefit, or might be interested in, connecting with other Dad’s in similar circumstances.

22.01.2022 They gave their today for our tomorrow. Lest we forget.

18.01.2022 Wondering which restaurant to support now they are open? How about Grill’d Mt Lawley? By eating at our local, you can help support the Téa Lake and the Rare Disease Association by placing your bottle cap in our container. Thanks for supporting us Grill’d Mt Lawley. Couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant for our first post-quarantine dine-in.

14.01.2022 With the current Covoid-19 pandemic in full affect, the board of Téa Lake and the Rare Disease Association (TLRD) have decided with heavy heart, to cancel the Prince and Princesses ball. With many of the people attending being parents, carers or in close contact with those that are immunocompromised, we aren’t willing to put our supporters, and ourselves at risk. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the people and businesses that have kindly donated their services ...and products at reduced costs, or free, so that our event could be successful. We will add their social media/web pages in the comments. The very same businesses that were willing to support us, are going to be struggling in this difficult time. Now, more than ever, please help us thank them by supporting them. We’d also like to thank another special lady, who doesn’t wish to be named, for organising advertising and sponsors, and turning the event completely around. It was set to be a magical night thanks to her. Finally our board members. None of our board members have held an event of this scale, and they all came together in the best way possible. While planning the ball our board members have had two special needs children hospitalised repeatedly, fought through a cancer diagnosis, three surgeries, a heart attack and many other family, work and life events to deal with. Nothing short of amazing to also be able to plan their first ball! The ball is a dream TLRD have had from the early days of the association, and we will hold the ball in the future, when it is safe for everyone to attend and enjoy. All ticket holders will be contacted individually to organise refunds of tickets. Please stay safe everyone, and ensure you wash your hands!

13.01.2022 Our first of a few interviews with the lovely Tony Serve of 6PR.

10.01.2022 The board of Téa Lake and the Rare Disease Association (TLRD) have been in deep discussion with Crown Perth, and have been able to secure a better package for our guests. To enable TLRD to pass on the savings to our supporters, we have had to postpone the event to Friday 8th May 2020. All other event details remain the same, but we are now able to offer tickets at $180 per person, or $1700 for a table of ten. TLRD will be in contact with all pre-purchased ticket holders. Please stay tuned for entertainment updates, more auction and raffle items, and special offers.
