22.01.2022 Aircraft: Learjet 35a Rego: VH-LPJ Did you know that Learjet was the first manufacturer of the design that we currently know as a standard private or business jet. The original Learjet was based off a US Military Aircraft. The traditional Learjet wing design was straight and not swept which was built for speed.
22.01.2022 On the 17th of July 2020, we were lucky enough to get onboard Qantas’ last commercial 747-400 service. The service ran as a one hour joyflight showing parts of the nations capital, Canberra and the surrounding regions including Mount Kosciuszko (Australia’s highest peak). VH-OEJ had been a big part of Qantas’ 747 fleet wearing several custom liveries such as the iconic red Wunala Dreaming livery, Socceroos livery in 2014 and the Boxing Kangaroo for the 2016 Olympic Games. Th...is aircraft has also done many Antarctica charters allowing passengers the opportunity to see the white continent from the sky. On the 22nd of July, VH-OEJ departed Sydney for the last time, completing a few Harbour Bridge flyovers before heading south for a low flyover of the first Qantas 747-400 (VH-OJA) preserved at HARS in Wollongong. OEJ then headed out over the Pacific Ocean to draw Qantas’ kangaroo logo before proceeding to Los Angeles to prepare for it’s final flight into Mojave, USA.

10.01.2022 Impressive approach of Qantas’ 787-9 this morning onto Runway 17 at Canberra Airport. The flight was the first commercial service from New Delhi, India The aircraft had 207 Australian Citizens onboard and was 1 of 10 Qantas repatriation flights for this week.
10.01.2022 On Friday, 17 July 2020, Qantas will operate it’s last commercial 747-400 service out of Canberra, Australia ever on VH-OEJ. Team Aviation will be onboard to bring you photographs and videos of Australia’s very last 747 flight. Although everyone is very excited, we are upset to see out the end of a long era running a very successful aircraft. The Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet is one of the most iconic airliners in the history of aviation and is largely responsible for Boeing’s success... over the last 50 years and widely responsible for the evolution of the airliner. While most other aircraft have evolved a long way from their original designs, the 747 has stayed much the same. Boeing did it once and did it right (aside from the standard tweaks hear and there for increased efficiency). We look forward to bringing you great footage next Friday from this important final flight! Thank you for your service VH-OEJ. #Boeing #Qantas #Jumbo #Canberra #VHOEJ #Qantas747farewell #Canberraairport #YSCB
