She was very successfully competed by a professional rider to the Novice level, she was then training Elementary/Medium with her amateur owner when she very sadly sustained an injury, rendering her pasture sound only. ... It is a known fact that we should always be breeding from our best mares, but unfortunately most of those mares are kept under saddle and their real worth is never realized. She is a very scopey, huge moving forward mare with absolute "WOW" movement and a wonderful disposition. From a young age she showed natural talent for riding. She grew up in QLD working and running a Dressage stable with her mother Linda Schmerglatt. Melanie was part of the QLD young rider squad for 2 years on her Australian bred grey Warmblood Masterpiece. ... Melanie is a firm believer in the fundamentals which was instilled in her from Linda. Position, harmony between horse and rider and position it has been embedded into her! If you cant sit correctly on the horse we cannot balance ourselves correctly, so in turn how can the horse balance themselves?
