15.01.2022 Adelaide Happy Wanderers next walk is on Sunday March 1st. Cobbler Creek, near Golden Grove, is a picturesque park, also frequented by mountain bikers, with a good vibe to it. The difficulty of this walk will be between easy to medium, it only has one relatively steep section. After about a one hour walk, we can enjoy morning tea or lunch at the car park entrance, which has full facilities. 09.01.2022 Its been a sensational summer for LGBTIQ sports in Adelaide as all our clubs grow in the warmth. Get active and involved in community sport today. The Adelaide Spikers Volleyball have a busy season start with a planned trip to compete in a Mardi Gras competition hosted by the Sydney Freezone. Theyre paying the registration fees for their members to help everyone take part.... Its back to training for the Adelaide Diverse Spikers at Underdale High School on Tuesday evenings to prepare for a big season ahead. QCar is hosting one car run a month for club members and getting people out into the general community to take part in other clubs themed runs. The next QCar run is on 17th March. Tennis Tuesday is active with good numbers and a friendly atmosphere at the Trinity Gardens Club each week from 7.30 pm. On Sundays, Tennis is on from 1.00 pm at the Sturt Lawn Tennis Club. In its first season, the club has grown steadily each week in a strong social environment over three courts for doubles games. Great news for people who enjoy running on a larger pitch, young Damon has been working behind the scenes to develop a Get into Touch Footy program starting in March in preparation for the winter season. We look forward to promoting more details about this. While not LGBTIQ focused (but it is friendly), Adelaide University Rugby Union Football Club is hosting a 5 week get into rugby academy on Tuesday evenings starting 26 Feb. As a member of a rugby union club, you are eligible to compete in Barbarians teams at Australasian and Bingham Cup tournaments for gay and inclusive rugby clubs. Do you have more opportunities to get the LGBTIQ community active? Wed love to hear them. This year, it will be hosted by the Brisbane Hustlers on 14 September.
