25.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 12 Chancellor State College student Mia Seefeld on being awarded the 2020 Adem Crosby Excellence in Community Spirit Award." This perpetual award was established by Chancellor State College in 2013 (Adem’s school) in honour of Adem for his outstanding contributions in helping others. Team Adem is also proud to contribute a $250 cheque to the award winner each year. Mia is a deserving winner this year and has given much of her time to helping others in our community. 25.01.2022 Team Adem was delighted to receive a very kind and generous donation in the mail yesterday. Maroochydore State High School ‘Leo Club’ ,(Junior Lion’s Club) sent us a cheque for $300 in acknowledgement of the work Team Adem does in the community. These funds will go directly to supporting adolescent cancer patients on the Sunshine Coast. We sincerely thank Maroochydore State High School and the Leo Club for their support of Team Adem. 24.01.2022 Good news for anyone who likes to do good. Our friends at Maroochydore Blood Donor Centre are now open longer, making it easier to give life. They’re open from 7am Monday to Saturday and 8am on Sundays, starting 6th July. You can see their new hours and book now by searching ‘give blood’ or calling 13 14 95. 23.01.2022 Team Adem recently donated more therapeutic massages to Bloomhill Cancer Care. The massages will be offered to adolescents and young adults affected by a cancer diagnosis who attend the centre. Bloomhill is a wonderful Sunshine Coast wellness-survivor centre that offers a broad range of support to Sunshine Coast residents living with and beyond cancer. Like many charities Team Adem continues to be adversely impacted by the COVID-19 crisis but has endeavoured to continue the majority of our regular donations. 21.01.2022 Long time Team Adem supporter and blood donor Richard Toms recently gave up alcohol for Dry July. He raised $535 and generously donated the funds to Team Adem. Special thanks to Les Colquhoun who also participated in Dry July and kindly sent $100 to Team Adem. The money raised will help us to continue supporting cancer patients on the Sunshine Coast. You can be assured that all Australian Red Cross Lifeblood (ARCL) Centres have adapted to Covid-19 safety requirements and social distancing rules. ARCL desperately needs your help to meet demand. 20.01.2022 We had to wait a little longer but another order of Team Adem tote bags has just been delivered. These will be donated to patients attending the Adem Crosby Centre. Although most of Team Adem's fundraising activities this year have been impacted by Covid-19 we have still managed keep up with the majority of our regular donations. 19.01.2022 This weekend, one of Australia’s most loved and respected journalist and 7News presenter will broadcast the news for the final time. With a career spanning over 40 years, Kay McGrath is without doubt a Queensland icon and household name. We were privileged to have been interviewed by Kay on several occasions. We would like to thank Kay for her wonderful support in helping us grow Adem’s legacy and for her tireless effort in supporting many other worthy charities. Brent and I with the rest of our Team Adem family wish Kay all the very best as she embarks on other passions in the next chapter of her life. Thank you Kay

18.01.2022 Last week Lu and Team Adem committee member Jeni visited Love & Partners Chartered Accountants Maroochydore to accept a cheque for $1000 in recognition of the work Team Adem does in the community. 17.01.2022 Lu on behalf of Team Adem recently donated another $500 worth of electrode pads that are needed to run the Lymphedema L- Dex machine at Bloomhill Cancer Care. Lymphedema can occur after cancer treatment when lymph nodes are removed from the body by surgery or damaged by radiotherapy. This machine is used to detect lymphedema by measuring lymph fluid changes in the affected area. If an increase in fluid is detected, early intervention can then be started, which will hopefully minimise the debilitating effects lymphedema can potentially cause. 17.01.2022 We would love your support The Team Adem 2020 Christmas Raffle will be held in the Adem Crosby Centre in December. Funds raised this year will be of significant help due to the limited fundraising activities throughout 2020 due to COVID pandemic. The raffle will help Team Adem with their ongoing donations towards the Centre. These donations will benefit the many patients who will receive treatment in the Centre during 2021. Team Adem would love to hear from anyone who may like to donate an item/service/voucher to be included in the raffle. As always, thanks for your support

14.01.2022 An enormous thank you to the teachers, students and parents of Chancellor State College (CSC) who kindly donated a large selection of new books/stationery to Team Adem last week. The books will be given to young blood cancer patients/siblings who are living at the Leukaemia Foundation accommodation villages in Brisbane. This wonderful Book Week initiative was started in 2017 by CSC and is organised by Head of Department teacher Tania Waterman. 14.01.2022 Team Adem has had many achievements over the past nine years but one of our most memorable is the commissioning of the Bright Stars memorial in 2016. This outstanding public Memorial / Sculpture was commissioned to forever honour our Sunshine Coast babies, children and young people who have passed away through illness or tragic circumstances. From its position in the Lions Park Buderim it overlooks the coastline of the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The Bright Stars memorial would not have been possible without the support of Councillor Christian Dickson - Division 6, Mayor Mark Jamieson, Landscape Architect James Worths and Sunshine Coast Council. With Covid-19 restrictions being eased this weekend, why not take a drive to visit this stunning memorial.

13.01.2022 Team Adem sends a massive Thank You to our wonderful friends from Sunshine Coast Grammar School. Their ‘Grammar Helping Hands’ team initiated, collected and yesterday kindly donated a variety of 40 care packs in support of Team Adem and patients of the Adem Crosby Centre at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. 12.01.2022 A huge thank you to the Chancellor State College (CSC) community for their recent generous donation of $7,120.10 to Team Adem. Each year in March, CSC support the Leukaemia Foundation by holding an annual World's Greatest Shave event at the school. Incredibly CSC has raised close to $100,000 for the LF since 2011, helping many blood cancer patients and their families. As part of the CSC annual WGS event, many other fundraising activities take place throughout the school on... the day. The funds raised from these activities were donated to Team Adem to help us continue our ongoing regular donations to cancer patients on the Sunshine Coast and to the Adem Crosby Centre. Adem was a proud student of Chancellor State College, and this wonderful school continues to honour his legacy and support the charity he started back in 2011. Like many charities, Team Adem has had to cancel all fundraising activities in 2020, so these funds presented to Team Adem will really help us help others this year. 12.01.2022 Due to the recent panic buying of hand sanitisers and thermometers, many of the patients from the Adem Crosby Centre have been unable to purchase essential items needed to help manage their treatment. Fortunately, Team Adem has been able to source 300 small hand sanitisers and 50 digital thermometers. Lu proudly donated these items on Thursday. If you have a stockpile of essential items, please consider sharing some to our community members who are elderly, have health issues, have young families, or are house bound etc Let’s put Kind back into Humankind John Mark Green

12.01.2022 Team Adem was presented with a $500 donation from McGrath Caloundra today. The donation is part of their 12 days of Christmas Community Giveback Extravaganza and we sincerely thank them for this generous donation. Team Adem was one of two charities chosen by public vote and we send a huge thankyou to everyone who voted for us. Team Adem will be using this donation to help us purchase more thermometers for cancer patients of the Adem Crosby Centre

10.01.2022 Four years ago this week was an incredibly proud time for our family. Adem's community work and philanthropic achievements in helping others was recognised when the then Queensland Health Minister, Hon Cameron Dick MP officially named the Cancer Unit in the yet to be opened Sunshine Coast University Hospital, the Adem Crosby Centre. The Adem Crosby Centre is a world class cancer outpatient facility and an integral component of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. The Centre delivers excellence in clinical care, clinical trials research and education. The Adem Crosby Centre includes cancer care services providing medical oncology, radiation oncology, haematology and acute specialised patient services. Lu

09.01.2022 This week Team Adem donated more hand sanitisers and digital thermometers to the Adem Crosby Centre. These will be given to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Team Adem would like to send a big thanks to our good friends at Concept Labs Australia on the Sunshine Coast for their ongoing support Thanks guys! 09.01.2022 Last week Lu on behalf of Team Adem dropped into the Radiation Unit in the Adem Crosby Centre and proudly donated another box of skincare cream applicators. The back and body applicators are given to radiotherapy patients who live alone and have no one to help them apply the moisturising cream to parts of their body that are difficult to reach on their own. Unfortunately some radiation treatment can cause quite harsh side-effects and burns to the skin and it is essential to apply soothing lotions to the affected area several times a day. 09.01.2022 Team Adem was proud to donate another 150 SPF50+ sunscreen tottles to the Adem Crosby Centre recently. The sunscreen will be given to patients undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis. Some treatments for cancer can make skin more prone to sun damage, so it is imperative that quality sunscreen is applied when exposed to the sun. 06.01.2022 Team Adem was proud to be a part of Bloomhill Cancer Care Annual Giving Day yesterday when we dropped by and donated 50 more ’Pay it Forward’ coffee vouchers. These will be offered to new clients and redeemed at the idyllic Bloomhill Community Cafe. We also donated another six therapeutic massages that will be offered to young cancer patients who attend the Centre. 05.01.2022 Last week Lu donated 14 more personalised Team Adem blankets to Maroochydore Red Cross Lifeblood Centre. Due to an unfortunate incident at the dry cleaners a number of our blankets were damaged which left the centre short, so we have now topped them up. Team Adem has proudly donated these very popular red blankets to the majority of Australian Red Cross Lifeblood Centres throughout QLD Like to win one of our blankets? 04.01.2022 Team Adem was excited to be able to donate another blanket warmer to the Adem Crosby Centre last week. Patients attending the Centre for Radiation Therapy will now be warm and cosy while receiving their treatment. This recent donation was one of Team Adem's largest at a price of $6500. Team Adem would like to thank everyone who was involved in the 2019 Chancellor State College cabaret event ‘VICE'. Chancellor State College World's Greatest Shave event was today, $25,000 (& still counting) was raised by students and the school community in support of blood cancer patients and their families. A big thanks to all who shaved, coloured and waxed and to all who helped make the event so successful.
